Yes, it will slide around, but if you put one foot on the side and hold it in place while scrubbing the other foot, it will stay put. It's best if you secure it with bolts. However, the metal slabs on the sides can be stepped on with the other foot to keep it in place while scrubbing with the other foot if necessary.
Anchor bolts made of concrete were used. A large stone paver was used for this installation.

Its purpose is to scrape the mud off the sides as well. Because the brushes are stiff, I'm concerned that they will scratch fine leather.

' I bought a knockoff version of this because I didn't see this one advertised at the time, but the knockoff was difficult to hold down with the side wings, and if you're a size 13 or larger like me, pushing the boot through with just those hold down pads was a chore. This baby does the job for clodhopper owners like me; it's heavy, but you can stand on one of the wings and it'll stay put. Don't settle for knockoffs when you can get the real deal with this Big Boot Schrusher.
For me, this was a costly purchase. I usually get them from the hardware store for a reasonable price. But, after the last one wore out and I started tracking mud into the house, I made the decision to upgrade. I'm glad I took the opportunity. You can direct the movement of your boot in any direction you want. If one side of your foot has more mud than the other, turn your foot so that the brushes get it. It's stable and doesn't need to be nailed down to stay in place. What a fantastic purchase!.
I've had a lot of cheap boot brushes/scrubbers, so I was hesitant to spend so much money on one. I was sorely mistaken. This thing works great, is very durable, and was made in the United States. Is there anything else you could possibly want?.
I swear I'm not a ringer, so take that as a compliment. I feel compelled to say this because my review will be so glowingly positive that you may be led to believe otherwise. br>br>In a role reversal (it appears that most women buy boot cleaners for their husbands), I bought this for my wife because I was tired of her trampling horse manure and mud onto the porch. br>br>The manufacturer, Chaseburg Manufacturing, is the type of small American business that can restore your faith in capitalism. This is why I say it: 1. br>br> This item is extremely well-made. It's well-made (hefty) and does exactly what you want it to (effectively cleans dirty shoes). The wood-and-steel framework Brushes with a solid back are both durable and long-lasting, and they can be replaced when they wear out. $78 was an extremely reasonable price to pay for such a high-quality product. 2. constructed. br>br> The manufacturer goes above and beyond to make sure that customers are happy. When I received my Big Boot Scrusher from this Amazon seller, one of the three small brushes on the bottom was missing. Bummer. I called Chaseburg instead of going through the hassle of ordering a replacement from Amazon. The pleasant lady who answered the phone was very sorry and embarrassed that I had received a product that was missing a part, and she promised to send me a replacement bottom brush right away, no questions asked. However, UPS delivered a box from Chaseburg two days later containing FOUR bottom brushes (i. e. , one missing brush, and three replacements for when the old one wears out in the future), as well as a Scrusher teeshirt (which is, by the way, very nice). of cute). Between the price of these brushes, the teeshirt, and the UPS 2nd-day delivery, it's a no-brainer. I'm pretty sure Scrusher lost money on this deal because of the same-day delivery. But they didn't complain about it, and they didn't make me feel like a jerk because of it. They didn't ask for proof, so I didn't have to. purchase. They simply did the right thing. What's not to like about a business like that? Especially if it's a company that uses American steel to make its products. br>br>The next time I buy a Chaseburg product (and I can think of a few friends I'd like to gift Scrushers to), I'll do so directly from them, through the Scrusher web site; it'll be a few dollars more expensive than Amazon, but it'll be well worth it to support good people who try to do the right thing. This boot cleaner can be purchased. br>br> You are going to be ecstatic.
This scrubber is permanently mounted on my front porch, and it works well and is simple to use. Removes both wet and dry mud and debris from all types of boots with ease. It's well-made and should last a long time.
I chose the larger one so I could mount it on a wider board, and I didn't need the spike nails because I could scrub my boot with one foot on the side.
This method is excellent for removing all wet grass clippings from golf shoes (spiked or spikeless). There will be no more grass strewn about the house. We'll also use it to clean up after hikes to get rid of any dust or mud. It's big enough to work on a pair of hiking boots.
We never replaced the brushes, either. We give it a five-star rating.
