When I was in the army about 20 years ago, I used these to polish boots. The traditional kiwi boot brush was larger back then, filling your palm for a firm grip and a vigorous brush stroke. This brush is a half-size version of the original for kids. They don't seem to be made as well as they used to. It does the job, but it's a little more difficult to hold and makes you mutter things like "guess they don't make them like they used to. ".

The size of toothbrushes will be the topic of discussion next year. This is ridiculously small, man! Let's take a look at how shrink factors have changed over the last decade. This brush used to fit into the palm of my hand. It's now a brush for your fingernails. We all know there isn't any inflation, so this comes as no surprise. It's just that the sizes of all of the products have shrunk! Btw, the quality of the brush bristles appears to be the same; now I just need to work on my shoes for a little longer.
When I compared the current brush to the older Kiwi brush I own, I was surprised at how small it is. Kiwi manufactures only the small brush for shine. Apart from the width, length, and thickness of the wood, the materials on both brushes appear to be the same, as I confirmed on the Kiwi website. Before placing my order, I should've double-checked the product dimensions. For the time being, I'm going to keep it.
There are two issues. 1) The brush is deceptively small, much smaller than you might expect. 2) Even though it says Prime, it took more than two days to arrive. It took two weeks to complete! I would have bought locally if I'd known about either of those.
Poorly made and of low quality. In the first brush, hair falls out. It's not as big as it seems. Hair falls out faster than a golden retriever every time it shines. Quality is terrible.
This is what I use to polish my boots. I light a match in the polish and wait for it to liquefy before dipping a rag into the liquid polish and rubbing it into the leather. I then use a clean cloth to buff the polish to a shine. Yes, it takes time and effort, but if you wear leather hiking boots and walk through wet fields, you should take the time to care for the leather. This is just one of the tools available to help you accomplish your goals.
Excellent product of high quality! The item arrived ahead of schedule and in perfect condition. It completed the task at hand, and as a result, I am a happy customer. Although I was hesitant to order this product after reading all of the negative reviews about faulty bristles, excessive shedding, and it being too small in size, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with how well it polished my shoes after testing it myself. To that end, not a single bristle broke off during use, and no shedding was observed. Not to mention, I thought the size was fine because it wasn't too large to handle and was small enough for me to have a firm grip while using it, so I'm not sure what other reviewers are talking about. With the exception of a few loose hairs sticking out of the brush when I first opened the package, this item far exceeded my expectations, and I would strongly recommend it to others as well as purchase it again in the future.
