Questions & Answers
When we use it, we do not stand on it. We only put one foot on it at a time, but it's quite sturdy.
It should get rid of the pea gravel, which we use up here in the snow country. The worst thing that's happened to ours is that it's frozen with the mud that we track into the house, so that's the only drawback.
To me, it does not have a chemical odor. It smells like whatever you use to clean the soles of your shoes. It's simple to clean with a hose.
From side brush to side brush, there is a 4 inch gap.

It's supposed to be made of high-density molded plastic that's weather resistant, but it's actually made of cheap wood. br>The picture and description show plastic, but the product I received was made of wood, which will not withstand constant wet conditions. I contacted the company but have yet to receive a response. The first image is from the website, while the second is of the product I received.
It's a good boot scrubber, but it's not as good as a similar model sold by a well-known building products chain store (sounds like 'low'), which costs just under $15. In comparison to the four sets of narrower brushes on this one, the one sold by this national chain has five sets of wider brushes for the bottoms of your boots. The chain version also has full coverage from front to back, whereas this one has no coverage at the front and back where exposed dowels can be seen in the single photo provided by the company. My wife has been complaining about her foot slipping on the scrubber's front dowel. The chain store was out of stock, so I purchased this version. I would have given this 4 stars if I hadn't had the opportunity to frequently use the chain store located at the entrance of a condo building where I occasionally live. Finally, despite the fact that I have only had this one for two weeks, I can attest to the durability of the chain store's.
Snow, ice, and salt can fall through the open spaces between each scrubber brush and roller on this boot scrubber, rather than accumulating on top of it. I also wanted a scrubber that didn't come up too far on the sides of the boots, as I was concerned about scratching the boots. This scrubber does an excellent job of removing debris from the bottoms of our boots while causing no damage to the sides. I set it up at a 45-degree angle outside our front door to use as a quick boot scrubber before entering the mud room. I attached pictures for measurements and to better visualize the height of the side scrubbers. It works great, and I haven't had any issues with snow collecting on top of it while placed outside.
The treds of boots have grooves running in different directions. To get the mud out of all the treds, you must be able to scrub your boot soles fore and aft, side to side, in a twisting motion, and so on. This device limits your foot's scrubbing motion to basically forward and backward. I'm going to keep it because I'm in desperate need of something (and this is better than nothing). However, I'll keep looking for a better scrubber). br>By the way, every other boot scrubber I've come across on the market suffers from the same fundamental flaw. You should be able to scrub your boot sole freely from side to side as well as diagonally.
good. This was purchased in order to keep the construction mud at bay. remove the sand from the house I've only had it for two days and it isn't doing much for me. Outside, I placed it on a mat, stood on it, and wiped my feet back and forth. If I do this for three days, it works out fine. NON-STOP FOR 4 MINUTES On each foot, come to a complete stop. BUT! It will get better! The welts can't be cleaned because the side brushes aren't high enough. I'm still balancing on one foot while attempting to brush off the other with a hand brush, so I'm still doing what I was doing after almost ten minutes on this.
I was unable to evaluate the product because it arrived with three large cracks that rendered it unusable due to shipping. I attempted to return it, but it is a non-returnable item. I should have looked more carefully when I bought the product to see if I could return it if it was damaged. I'd assume that because it's a top-of-the-line item, I'd be able to exchange it for another.
By far the best boot cleaner I've ever used is the Jobsite Boot Scrubber. My first one was purchased about ten months ago and is still in excellent condition. There are no cracks in the frame or broken bristles. Because it works so well, I purchased a second one this summer. I now have one for each of the back and side doors. First and foremost, it is well-designed. Instead of using wood, the frame is made of a heavy-duty plastic material. My previous cleaners were either a metal mat with bristles or a wood and bristle cleaner. After a few years, those plans fell apart. They also didn't clean as well as the Jobsite product. br>br>This scrubber also doesn't slide around as much as the other designs on my concrete walkway or patio. I keep mine near an outside wall and find that it stays put just fine. I've also discovered that a mall plastic tub filled with water works wonders for loosening heavy mud in my larger cleat boots. The scrubber efficiently scrubs away the loosening mud after I step into the shallow tub of water just enough to wet my soles. Regular shoes are easy to clean. br>br>I also recommend it to RV owners because it's great for brushing away dirt, leaves, and sand from campsites, and it's simple to rinse the scrubber after each use if you need to store it. I've never purchased a better boot/shoe scrubber. It comes highly recommended!.
Momma screamed, "Take off dem shoes!" because scrubbing the rug gave her the blues. br>One day she whooped me with a switch, and now when my shoes are dirty, it makes me twitch. br>I bought these scrubbers for the front porch and back porch. br>Now momma won't whoop me, but she still keeps me on track. br>Who'd have guessed these boot brushes would save my young keester? br>It's a good thing I got them for Christmas and not Easter.
