Selected User Reviews For Propper Men's Lightweight Tactical Pant
I'm not in the military or the police force, and I don't want to appear like a wannabe - However, I do participate in practical activities that necessitate the use of a good pair of practical pants. I'm an IDPA competitor who needs pants that can hold and stow a lot of gear for a long day at the range. I also need them to be sturdy and long-lasting, as well as comfortable and allow for a lot of movement. And, yes, I'll be wearing them all weekend or on errands around town. br>br>In the Tactical Pants industry, there are a few key brand names. The number 11 is one of the most well-known and popular. It's difficult to talk about the features of a pair of Tac pants without drawing obvious parallels to 5. Add to that the fact that This pant is designed in many ways to be similar to the 5. Tactical pants, number eleven. As a result, comparing them side by side is almost mandatory. side. br>br>I recently bought my first pair of Propper pants, a gray lightweight 32x30 pair. If you don't want to read the whole thing, you can skip ahead to the end. To cut to the chase, here's what you'll need to know: They're fantastic, and I'll most likely purchase more. The reason for this is as follows:
- The finish and materials are of the highest quality. There are no stray threads, crooked seams, or stiches that have fallen out. It's all very good.
- Rip- The stop material is thin but extremely strong. You'll get a lot of use out of these pants before they end up on the rag pile, and they're very breathable, unlike most synthetics. It's possible that this is due to their light weight, but it works.
- The sizing is extremely precise. However, there is one thing to keep in mind: The sizing is accurate rather than egotistical. I have a number of them. 11 pants in 32 waist are much looser at the waist than these Propper pants, which is both good and bad. It's fine if you know your true size and order accordingly, but it's not acceptable if you rely on the "extra" that most clothing manufacturers now provide. However, I'd like a smidgeon of waist relaxation, as the expandable elastic waistband is a little rough on the skin. This is partly due to the synthetic material (as opposed to soft cotton), but they will leave red marks if worn too tight.
- The Propper trousers are nearly identical to the 5. There are a few notable exceptions to the 11 design:
- The back pockets aren't quite as low-cut as the front ones are. 11; however, at the back, run straight acrossbr>- There is a second pocket that is "regular sized" and perfect for a wallet inside the back pockets (which are large and roomy). This is a huge plus for me, as I despise my wallet bouncing around inside the 5. 11 pairs of pants and landing in a variety of unfavorable locations. The wallet remains in the Proppers exactly where it belongs - Whether you're a right or left-handed cheeck. Both of them can be found.
- A watch pocket and a small inner sub-pocket are located in the front right pocket. At the bottom is a pocket. Both are desirable, but the left lacks both and is merely a standard pocket. The front pockets are well-cut and at a good angle, making it easy to get your hand in and out. even if you have something in your hand.
- In comparison to 5, Propper has fewer belt loops. There are 11 of them, and they are all spaced differently.
- On Propper, there is less material in the crotch area than on 5. You may notice a difference if you engage in a lot of crouching activities.
- On the Propper, the fly is a little shorter, perhaps a half-inch or more. Gentlemen, this has an ergonomic effect (I prefer the 5. ). 11 one).
- Things that are similar to or the same as 5. Tactical Advantage: 11 Tactical Advantage
- The lower edges of the pocket stitching have been reinforced to accommodate a knife, flashlight clip, or other similar item. Metal clips should wear out less quickly as a result of this. (On Propper, only the front pockets are available, 5. It's also on the backs of 11s)br>- Small cargo pocket on the left side, ideal for most cell phones, flashlights, magazines, and other small items; essentially identical to 5. 11
- Appendix D, on the right-hand side of the page a belt loop with a ringbr>- The weight and construction of the materials are similar. Rip- Bring an end to the synthetic mix.
- In no particular order, here are a few random comparisons:
- 11 is more comfortable right away, but Propper has a cleaner appearance and is "dressier. "
- In comparison to 5, Propper has a much less "droopy flat butt" appearance. The tradeoff is between ego and appearance and comfort and flex. You'll be told that you look better in the Propper pants by your significant other. )
- A nice duty-free option is included with Propper. Wear a belt that matches your pants' color. Even a cheap duty belt costs $20 or more, so that's not a bad deal. The belt is of excellent quality, but it is a little too long. This is a fantastic bonus. br>br>Overall, I'm not interested in expressing a preference for one over the other. Whether you're deciding between the two brands for the first time or are already familiar with 5, I believe the comparison is important. It's already the eleventh. At the end of the day - These Propper Tactical Lightweight pants are great, and I'm going to order more of them. I've got the gray - which is a lot darker than the photo depicts. Since summer is approaching, khaki would most likely be my next choice. The cost of Propper is about $10 less than the cost of 5. As of this writing, the total number of people on the planet is 11. When you consider the belt that comes with it, it's a fantastic deal. I believe you owe it to yourself to try them!.
The quality was much better when they were produced in China. They have loose stitching all over now that they're made in Haiti, and the pocket material wears out in less than two years. br>br>I have two pairs of six-year-old Chinese-made pants that are just beginning to show signs of wear. I have a pair of the same pants from the Haiti factory that I've had for two years, and they're wearing out much faster. When I contacted Propper customer service, I was informed that all of the company's pants are now manufactured in Haiti. It was a huge letdown.
Tactical? Hardly. These pants don't have a gusset in the crotch and are probably designed for American Eagle models who don't have a butt or thighs. I have a 34-inch waist in everything I own, and these fit perfectly in that area, but not in the others. If you need to bend over, crouch, kneel, or do anything other than stand, these are not the pants for you.
If you're reading these pants reviews, you'll know that I'm always on the lookout for the ideal pair of practical (or cargo, or tactical, depending on your preference) pants.
