Gadsden and Culpeper Operator Boonie Hat Bundle & Patches - USA/DTOM

I'm giving it four stars, but I'd give it five if I had the option. Because of the low price, I'd give it a 5; I got the black one as a reference. On the inside, there's a www. brand stamp. truspec. com, which is a subsidiary of "ATLANCO," an Atlanta-based company that manufactures military and civilian uniforms and equipment. This hat is made of 65% polyester and 35% rip stop cotton . Honduras was the place where it all came together. Overall, the construction is sturdy enough, and the stitching is good. A braided polyester chin lanyard appears to be used. It's not stitched into the hat with any extra stitching that I can see, and it only goes in about a quarter to half an inch (from what I can tell), which makes me concerned about durability. The adjustable stop is made of high-impact plastic of good quality and is well-designed. br>br>The hat's headband adjustment strap is made of a nylon or polyester ribbon, which is a bit disappointing. a similar material with a similar adjustable stop It appears to be quite durable, but I would have preferred a round braided nylon cord, perhaps similar to the one used on the chin strap. Furthermore, neither of the adjustable stops holds the hat in place very tightly, which is inconvenient if you need to tighten it. It fit me without any adjustments because I have an average-sized man's head, but your mileage may vary. Non- I wanted to bring it up because it is a problem for me. The hat is light and comfortable to wear, and it appears to sit nicely and firmly on my head, with or without the strap cord; there is no "sweat band" on the inside, but there is one on the outside. br>br>The Velcro loop panels are of good quality and hold well. In comparison to the majority of the moral patches I own, the sizes are a little odd. Although the larger flag is a little small and the smaller strip is a little longer than usual, both are functional. The Velcro loop panels appear to be adhesive-backed with NO STITCHING to hold them in place, which isn't ideal in my opinion. They appear to be holding up well at first, but we'll have to wait and see how well they hold up after some use. br>br>Like some other boonie-style hats, it has a pouch area on the top inside of the hat. It does not, however, have a Velcro closure, which would be nice (I will add one using adhesive-backed Velcro). The metal inserts for the ventilation holes are of good quality. I'm not sure what kind of metal it is, but after pulling on them and messing with them, they appear to be sturdy and well attached to the hat material. br>br>As with any gear I review, the proof is in the eating, and you can't properly "review" an item until you've actually used it, so if this hat has any catastrophic failures while wearing it, I'll come back and edit my review accordingly! These are only first impressions of quality and suitability for the task at hand! I intend to use it for hiking, shooting, fishing, and other outdoor activities. br>br>NOTE A: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, consider using the words "innovative The hat patches in my photos are NOT the ones that came with the hat! Allow it to air dry; it will be completely dry in a matter of minutes. (2) The bill or rim can be adjusted to fit your needs. It can be pushed down to protect the back of your neck, or it can be moved up and down like a sun visor in a car. (3) For the top, I added a square of Velcro (see photo), which I can use to hold and adjust the drawing without the need for snaps on the sides, similar to the Australian style. (4) I've already placed an order for a second one, in a different color. Amazon has a number of different patches. Oh, and the patches that come with it are also of excellent quality! I've never been so enthralled by a hat before. Until this purchase, I had never thought of myself as a "hat guy. ".

On a cross-country road trip many years ago, I purchased a boonie hat with a Route 66 logo from a diner in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. It was stolen a few years ago, and I've been trying to find something comparable in terms of quality and coolness to replace it with. THIS, THEN, IS THE HAT! This is a fantastic hat. It's of excellent quality and cleverly designed to fit the wearer's head. It's a great look with that "je ne sais quois" factor that elevates it to the next level. It gets a lot of use in the mountains of West Virginia because I use it as a rain hat in wet weather, and it also looks great as an accessory with any jacket I own. BTW, I'm a senior woman who has received numerous compliments, as well as veterans who have expressed their gratitude! Coyote is a versatile and elegant color that I chose. The decals are well-made and attractive. They are also detachable, allowing you to wear it however you want.

I went with the tan color scheme. It's a real bummer that it's the 65/30 poly- The seller stated that it was a cotton blend, not a 50/50 blend. It doesn't absorb sweat well, so it collects under the hat and runs down into your eyes when you remove it. I'm required to cover it with a cotton bandana. Aside from that, it fits perfectly and is extremely comfortable (I am a size 7 3/4). 8 hat). I wish the brim of the hat was a bit wider.

For a summer trip, I bought this hat. I wanted a hat that I could stuff into a backpack or under the back seat of my truck without losing its shape. The multi-tan camouflage version was particularly appealing to me. The patches are stitched and of good quality. The stitching on the hat is very nice. Nothing about it feels or appears cheesy or sloppy. It's light and has just enough brim to keep the sun off your head and ears. My head is bigger than most people's - 3/4" to 7" in diameter 5/8" - This hat was also a good fit for me. If you have a smaller head, a cinch tie can be used to tighten the fit. I haven't needed the chin strap yet, so I tuck it into a small half pocket at the top of the hat. If I could improve this hat for myself, I would increase the surrounding brim by 1/2 to 3/4" to gain a little more sun protection. A fantastic hat in any case. I'm going to keep this in my truck for future camping trips and outings.

I'm so glad I chose G. C because it looks and feels like a real military specs boonie hat! I bought it for a sport fishing trip and it provided excellent protection for my face and neck. I want to go fishing again soon just so I can wear this hat! This lid has exceeded my expectations!.

7 3/4 head of hair This is a fantastic hat that has quickly become one of my favorites. I'll wear the hat for any activity that requires me to be outside for an extended period of time, and the baseball caps for indoor activities and mornings when I don't have time to shower. br>br>The hat is a good fit for me (hat size 7 5/8 - This hat stands out from others I've tried because of its size (7 3/4). It's light and airy, keeps the sun off my face, ears, and neck, and doesn't feel hot on my head (I got the coyote color). You can easily find other patches besides the ones that come with the hat on Amazon and elsewhere online, and I replaced the DTOM patch with an In God We Trust patch that I found on Amazon.
