It is not possible to see the luminescent hands on the black Corporal. Corporals with luminescent hands will be the only ones to have them. Those variants with luminescent hands are indicated as "lum" in the colorway.
The price here is significantly lower than where I was looking for this watch. I compared the fonts of the "NIXON" on the watch with those on This is because the font on the original watch (from the Nixon website) was larger and centered differently than it is on these watches. It looked exactly the same but I decided to stay away from shopping here because of the small details that didn't match up to the original.

In the first place, let me say that I don't normally write reviews, but I was such a fan of the watch I didn't want to leave it out. It was time for me to get an all-black watch because I am particular about my watches. Unlike the first one, I already had the all-black Nixon Corporal SS. I tried the gold (Black plus Nixon Camp Cup) version of the Corporal SS, and thought it was a great piece, but it was just too flashy to wear regularly. It's a great feeling to know I stuck with Nixon because the watch came in, and it's exactly what I asked for. A nice amount of shine creates just the right amount of contrast between the blue face and the brown hair. My wrist just feels comfortable wearing this watch - it feels heavy but slender at the same time. I truly feel like you've got something nice on you When you open the box, it is very well packaged and wedged in a "foam box" so that the watch does not suffer any damage during shipment. You can't believe how shiny this is when you first pull it out of its packaging! The name of this watch makes it a great conversation starter, as people are likely to notice and want to learn more. With this watch, I can safely say that it is just as good as my gold and black Corporal SS. I don't have to worry about looking flashy with a gold watch, either. Watches that feel great on the wrist and catch attention are definitely worth purchasing. The only problem with it is that it is impossible to read the time in the dark because of the black on black backdrop, so only use it during the day or at an event well lit.
