Orient "RA-AC0E" Japanese Automatic / Hand Winding Contemporary Watch

There may be a problem with my As a result of my search, I was hoping to find a dress watch with a light colored dial, affordable price, and automatic functionality. The Orient RA-S was a good choice for me The ACOE (or Orient Maestro) is a large music publisher with branches in 21 countries. The following criteria were used to determine my initial purchase 1) I have had great experience with the original Mako, one of Orient's dive watches, for almost eight years now. I wear it off and on in my regular watch rotation. 2) I watched a really glowing review of the Maestro on YouTube. *3) The watch has a clean look to it. This dial feels very elegant to me with its shimmery white dial and blue metallic hands. Even so, after inspecting and trying on the watch, I decided to return it on the same day it was delivered to me. There were three major things I was unhappy with 1) When I placed the watch on my wrist, even slight movements caused my bracelet to squeak The bracelets on entry level watches will most likely be of poor quality. Though I was already planning on wearing the watch with a couple of different vegan leather straps, I would have liked to have the option to switch out the OEM metal bracelet anytime I wanted to bring the watch's look to the next level. 2) While holding the bracelet down to prevent it from squeaking, as I rotated the watch to charge it up, I could hear the automatic winding make a noticeable rattling and grinding sound. As far as automatic watches go, this was much louder than any other I have ever owned. I have to give my rating based only on the watch I received, and I will be the first to admit that my complaints may well have been due to a faulty unit that made its way Orient is actually a great value buy, and I hope that is true since I am a proponent of the company in general. Although I might be able to exchange my watch for another of the same, I decided instead to up my budget a few hundred bucks and go with a watch from Orient's parent company, Seiko instead.

I have tried smart watches, and have completely lost interest in them because of this experience. A watch is a watch, and I don't need to navigate through tons of menus I found this watch to be one of the most elegant dial designs online out of all the watches I reviewed. The beauty of simplicity lies in its simplicity! There are no design elements that make this watch look fancy. Everything it has is necessary. With time, you will come to appreciate its simplicity. Wear it every day and you will become more and more attracted to it. does not have a chronograph feature or tachymeters, and that is exactly what I wanted, as it cuts off all the unnecessary clutter and features on the dial, making it much easier to read the time and similar to living in a very neat and organized house. It will automatically wind and you can also manually wind it up to 30 twists if you like. My favorite part of the watch is the back, which has glass that allows me to see the fabulous movement of the gears. This timer is quite accurate, and a bit faster than a quartz timer, about 30 seconds faster, over the course of a 24 hour period. As it is, this is not a major issue for a mechanical watch. Every two days, it is so simple for me to move the minute hand back just one minute to make the time show exactly as it should It's a great value at this price point and I'm extremely happy with it. This is a 5 star rating for me!.

I bought it as my gateway automatic, I'm starting a small collection, and it feels like a great introduction. I like the look and feel of it. Although it runs fast, I've read that it may slow down in time. I did not buy it for precise timing. Orient Charlene had been a present I gave my wife for her birthday, and I enjoyed it so much it influenced my purchase of this one.

I enjoy the looks of this watch it feels good on the wrist. But, it runs 15 seconds faster per day than usual.

I wanted to include this watch in my collection of mechanical watches because it has a simple style. The watch fits well, but it doesn't seem to be large enough for my massive wrist, as With this watch band, I did not have to order XL watch band like I normally do with other watches. It is easy to adjust, and fits a large wrist. It seems to keep good track of time. Despite the fact that I did not have to spend a small fortune on this watch, I am quite pleased with.

There is a leather strap, which I added in tan. My mechanical watch has been giving me plus 15 seconds a day, but it's worth it to me to have one.

The transparent backside is a beautiful touch, the watch has more water resistance, and the logos on the crown and in the 12-hour position are fantastic. This watch is wonderful so far. The strap is a little hard at the beginning, but after a while it seems to have become more comfortable.
