At one point or another, almost all metal bracelets are hair pullers.
It's never failed to come off for me. It's as safe as any other watch band I've ever worn.
To achieve a better fit, the band's links can be removed.
Yes, it is a fairly large band; I had to remove three links and it is still loose, but it is an excellent watch that you will enjoy.

Although it is a lovely watch, it is not made of stainless steel. It's a silver-painted plastic body with a clanky little bracelet that you'll want to swap right away. I used to have an old Ironman that looked exactly like this, and it weathered well until it didn't. The thrill is gone once the silver has worn down to the plastic. Order the black model and you'll never have to worry about the color changing.
I was wearing the watch this morning when the band separated from the watch body where the pin would normally hold the band in place. On closer inspection, it appears that the pin pulled through (rather than out of) the soft metal hole, creating a slit through which a replacement pin could easily slide (see photo). I wasn't exerting myself in any way. I was riding the train to work when my watch popped off my wrist, despite the fact that it had only been four months since I had purchased it brand new. It's one of four watches I own, so it only sees light use on a regular basis (I alternate between the four). I think I only wore it about 8 times. I contacted Casio because Amazon had stopped covering it. The watch was not covered by warranty, according to the representative. The battery is not covered by the warranty; it only covers internal components. The following items are not covered by the warranty: The battery, band, case, body, glass, and so on (basically the entire watch) I didn't expect much from a $22 watch, but I did expect it to last longer than four months of light use. In terms of customer service, I believe Casio should replace, if not repair, the watch after such a short period of minimal use.
Metal bracelets appeal to me because, unlike leather and fabric straps, they do not become smelly and funkified. This watch has 100% a stainless bracelet. That was the Achilles heel of every single Atlantis I've ever owned. Metal and rubber links alternate in this design. When a rubber link breaks, it's far easier to replace the watch than it is to replace the bracelet. This watch has a nice appearance to it. The Timex Atlantis is rounder and more masculine. This has five alarms, which I don't need. I like how the backlight is amber in color. There are a few things I've noticed about this watch:
- The large buttons are extremely simple to operate. This is a two-for-one deal. On the one hand, this makes the sword very simple to use. On the other hand, accidentally pressing the buttons with your wrist or forearm is a common occurrence.
- The backlight can be set to turn on only when the button is pressed or for three seconds after the button is released. One feature I liked about the Atlantis was that if you pressed and held the Indiglo button for a few seconds, it would beep, and then the backlight would turn on for as long as you were manipulating any of the watch's buttons, and then it would turn off for a few seconds. I was able to avoid having to re-type everything because of this feature. If I was adjusting something, I would press the light button.
- The alarm only lasts 10 seconds before it shuts off on its own. The alarm on the Atlantis would go off for one minute. I haven't slept through the alarm yet, but 10 seconds seems like a ridiculously short amount of time for the alarm to sound before shutting off on its own. br>br>Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of this watch.
PROS: br>Fun 80s styling with a digital "analog" readout in the top left corner and a fun world time zone map. br>Similar to the Metal Gear Solid V Seiko digital, which is now quite expensive. br>Long battery life (advertised 10 years. ) )br>There are numerous useful functions, such as: Alarm clock, stopwatch, countdown timer, and "illuminator" light are all included. br>The bracelet is simple to adjust; to remove links, all you need is a push pin and some pliers (not a special tool). )br>br>CONS: )br>br>CONS: )br>br>CONS: The module is made of painted plastic, and the stainless steel bracelet is hollow rather than solid. br>br>OVERALL: br>Extremely good value for a very entertaining and eye-catching game. keeping an eye on things This watch has gotten me more compliments than most of my other, much more expensive mechanical analog watches.
Casio Royale is a musical instrument made by Casio. A tribute to the Seiko g757 from the James Bond film. I was pleasantly surprised that the bracelet was a folded/stampled steel like bracelet, similar to some seiko bracelets, at this price point. It's very light and comfortable, but it has a disposable feel to me; however, the looks and story are well worth the money. I scuffed the display with light use, but I still like the watch.
I highly recommend this watch because it is both classic and handsome on the wrist.
Is this the best watch currently available? It all depends on how you define "best" and what quality determinants you use. This bad boy has an easy-to-adjust stainless steel band, as well as the ability to program in four different time zones or set it to an automatically changing time, which covers every time zone on the planet. Did I mention the AMBER backlight feature? Amber is the most elegant of colors, not green, blue, or any other unappealing hue. Is this a Rolex? No, it's a Casio (as previously stated). So you believe you're getting a lower-quality product? Well, it's a digital watch that will go with any outfit and won't set you back more than $100. I don't even use it for the different time zones; I just like the look of a tiny world map on your wrist. Is it necessary to set a timer? It has that feature, and it's a good one. Are you keeping track of how long your employees spend in the restroom or what a typical "fifteen" minute break is? It also includes a stopwatch. Simply put, this watch is budget-friendly luxury.
Design flaws. I had a Casio that needed to be replaced. The numbers are large enough to read, but the date is tiny and difficult to see from most angles. My overall one-star rating stems from the fact that adjusting the band without the assistance of a jeweler is nearly impossible. It doesn't make sense to spend less than $20 on a watch and then spend more to adjust the band. Perhaps Casio could do us all a favor and design an adjustable band? Until they do, this watch receives a one-star rating. Watches with fixed metal bands must be adjusted, and this one does not allow for easy adjustment by any reasonable person.
