I wouldn't use the watch for SCUBA diving because it doesn't have a Diver's rating. It's fine for swimming and other water activities, but for the risks associated with serious diving, I'd recommend a watch that says "Diver's 200m." There is no such thing as a dive rating based on water resistance.

For measurement conversions, the lower left button simply rotates the outside dial. Right- To change the time and date, the hand button is pulled out two levels. It's a screw-up.

The slide rule that rotates in the case appeals to me as a retired aviator. When compared to traditional solar, the ECO drive is outstanding. The downside is that because the crystal is raised without a rim to protect it, it scratches easily early on. Let's face it, Citizen. Even my old Timex has a raised edge to keep my face safe. On an otherwise fantastic watch, there's a massive blunder. It's no surprise that they're selling for such a low price on Amazon. Please let me know if you know where I can get an aftermarket sapphire crystal for it. This timepiece appeals to me greatly.
This watch is amazing, and I'm glad I took the plunge and bought it instead of waiting any longer. This is a brand new, genuine Citizen watch that came in its original plastic box. In comparison to the previous version, I also like the new box. It resembles a Pelican case in size. br>I don't like metal bands on my watches, so I replaced the factory band with a green NATO style band right away. *Two things to keep in mind: Any NATO band thicker than 1mm is too thick for the lug width of 22mm. 5mm will not fit between the watch case and the band pins. br>I have attached a few photos for you to judge for yourself, but I am very happy with my purchase. The quality is excellent, and it appears to be "busy" when viewed from the side. line, but once it's on your wrist, the time indicators will be easy to distinguish. It comes highly recommended!.
This watch appealed to me because it checked off several of my priorities. One is that it had to be fashionable enough to be worn almost anywhere. It's a nice watch, and I wear it to work or outside, with jeans or slacks, or just about anywhere. It's not quite up to the standard of a suite, but I'm sure someone will try. I'm afraid I won't be able to do that, but if you like to change bands, put this on an olive NATO strap and it'll look great. The fact that the watch case never had to be opened was the most important feature for me. (Because once it's opened, any water resistance rating it had goes out the window. ) This personal requirement meant a Solar Watch, Kinetic, or some type of automatic. Solar appealed to me because it is a quartz movement, which is known for its accuracy. br>br>The band is functional, though men who are used to high-end watches/bands will likely find something to complain about. It's acceptable to blue collar me because it's functional and looks very masculine. br>br>The bezel appears to be a lot more complicated than it is. Simply read the manual to understand that the system is a logarithmic one. br>br>I prefer this to my Apple watch because it does not require daily charging, is more robust, has a more masculine appearance, and is more water resistant.
The watch is fantastic, but I'd like to see a European-spec version with an engraved caseback. Citizen, for some reason, does not consider us Americans to be worth their time. A white outer bezel dial was also available, but it is no longer available. In a heartbeat, I'd trade it for it! Returning to the wristwatch. The luminous paint is quite bright and holds its "charge" for a long time, and I like the bluish tint to it, which is a welcome change from Seiko's greenish LumiBrite and the Swiss' Super Luminova. Because it's quartz, the accuracy is unquestionably high. (A manual version of this watch would be fascinating to see. ) ) The slide rule bezel is a lot easier to read than my Seiko Flight Master's bezel. The watch isn't too big for my 6 5/8" wrist, especially after I put it on a leather "pilot's" band, and it's a little finicky to set up the first time, but once you do, you won't have to do it again. It has some weight to it, but it isn't overpowering. It's become one of my go-to watches for the weekend. Simply take what you need and leave. My only real gripe is that, unlike almost every other quartz watch, the seconds hand does not line up with the markers at every click. Why is it that no one seems to be able to figure this out? I'd also like to see drilled lugs, which would make changing bands a lot easier. The clearance is too low for a NATO unless you get a very thin one, so you'll need a two-piece strap. Overall, this is a fantastic watch for the money, and I highly recommend it. For the few minor annoyances I mentioned, I deducted one star. They would go unnoticed by the vast majority of people.
It looks good, feels good, and keeps good time on my wrist. I like that the majority of the metal is brushed chrome, which hides any minor scratches. I also like that it isn't as prone to fingerprints as high-end products are. (I like high-polish chrome watches, but this one doesn't need to be cleaned every day to stay shiny. ) br>br>In my opinion, it is not a "bling" watch, as some may believe based on the dial appointments. Rather, whether you're an office worker or a car mechanic, I think it's a great everyday quartz watch that looks cool and lasts for years. Keep in mind that the glass is mineral rather than sapphire, so it will most likely scratch. As a result, I expect it to be my next "beater" timepiece. The lumens on this are actually quite good. I've put it under a halogen light for about an hour around 9 p. m. , and I can still read the time at 4 a. m. if I wear it to bed. It's possible that this is the best lume in this price range. br>br>In the end, I don't think many people will use the airplane navigation features (and I'm not sure I'd want my pilot relying on this device with my life in his/her hands), so let's just say the watch is best suited for those who want to wear something a little different - a watch that looks cool, doesn't require a battery, and can tell you the time even when it's dark.
In person, it appears to be much nicer than it appears in the photos. The full glass dial (which is devoid of a bezel) appears to be very clean and crisp. For the bracelet, I deducted a star. It has a light feel to it and makes squeaky noises when I move around. It comes in a beautiful box. br>br> On my 6 1/2-inch wrist, 42 mm is a little big, and the dial makes it look even bigger. But I think I'll be able to pull it off and look good in it.
