Questions & Answers

Is it possible to shower while wearing this watch?

The watch is rated at 100 meters, so you can snorkel but not scuba dive with it. Showering is fine, but if the strap gets wet, it can cause a rash on your wrist, so I don't wear mine in the shower. If you wear it to bed, your hands will glow nicely. This is one of about 20 watches I own, and I have previously sold watches.

Is this watch impervious to the effects of emphysema?

If an EMP powerful enough to destroy this watch occurs, keeping accurate time will be the least of your concerns; instead, invest in a sun dial. What will you use to keep your clocks in sync?

I'm looking for a new band for my watch, but I can't seem to find one. I like it a lot, but I can't seem to find anything similar. ?

Any band with an 18mm width will fit. You'll be able to find exact replacements. My nephew found a non-Citizen watch band for his field watch on eBay, which has a lot of watch band vendors. Simply buy an 18mm band in the size you want.

I would have included a photo, but the Citizen customer service department has kept it after refusing to honor a warranty return
3/5

br>There isn't much to say about the watch except that it is the only item that hasn't deteriorated in less than two years of daily use. charge the battery Attempting to redeem the warranty, I sent the broken watch to the Torrance, CA service center and received a string of indifferent and ultimately useless responses. A $100 bill was the final offer to keep my business as a Citizen watch owner. The price of the watch is $125 brand new. br>As with many customer retention case studies, it's rarely about monetary compensation that can be quantified. Every industry is influenced by the belief that a brand represents so little. The adage "they don't make them like they used to" is so true that it doesn't bear a criticism of the product; in the end, the watch broke and several parts needed repair in less than half the time that a warranty would have taken. Isn't that something that any skilled craftsperson would be bothered by? br>If a warranty is as worthless as words in a promise, I see no other option but for Amazon to remove the product from their site. br>I will definitely be purchasing my new watch elsewhere.

The ideal equilibrium – after you've gotten rid of the belt
5/5

For the past year, I've worn my 8180 almost every day, and it's served me well as a simple, dependable chronograph. It was excellent value for money in terms of style watch. It's possibly the most cost-effective Eco-friendly product available. Despite the fact that this is a drive watch, Citizen's solar technology has performed as expected. The thing happily runs on indoor light and will not stop even if you remove it and put it in a drawer for a week. br>br>This is a miniature timepiece - On a small-screen TV, it's small enough that it doesn't look out of place. (Note: This is a medium wrist. ) After 15 years of not wearing a watch, I only started wearing one again three years ago, so I missed out on the entire huge-watch phenomenon. trend in the face ) At 37mm, it appears to be a good fit for my wrist, and at 9mm, it appears to be a good fit for my wrist. The thickness of 5mm isn't excessive. It's also light, but it has a solid feel to it. The face style is well-balanced: br>br> Casual enough to avoid appearing fussy, yet formal enough to be worn in any business setting. It has overtones of a pilot's watch, particularly the inverted triangle marker at 12 o'clock (as opposed to most such watches). However, the skeleton hands add a lightness to the design that is missing from some aviator styles. The face characters are clean and contemporary, and the elaboration of the outer 0-characters is excellent. It doesn't look too plain with 60 markers. I'd happily wear a regular pilot's watch with a suit, but the 8180 appears to be especially well-suited to the workplace. br>br>. . . as long as the strap is changed out. Military equipment was provided. grey-style The green woven strap is short, unattractive, and disliked by many people. I can't say if it's comfortable because I immediately replaced it with a band that was more in keeping with the watch's appearance. The 8180 looks great on any leather band, but my daughter gave me a wonderful tan leather Fluco Vigo riveted cuff that really shows off the watch. br>br>The solar cell in the face powers a quartz movement that runs a second or so faster than usual for me - not enough to make a difference It is not a place where I swim. The movement is almost completely deafeningly quiet. br>br>Other critics have expressed their dissatisfaction with the film:

When I looked at my own close-up, I noticed some scratches. keep an eye on photography This issue has the potential to get worse over time. At this price, would anyone expect sapphire glass?br>- The date is difficult to read in many lighting conditions, owing to its unusually deep recessed position. This is said to be difficult to avoid due to the solar photovoltaic layer on the watch face. The date is often obscured by the broad hands as well. br>br>Here are some of my peculiar musings:
- At first glance, the white day-glo day-glo day-glo day-glo day-glo day-glo day The date window can sometimes resemble an extra hand, forcing you to take another look.
- Citizen's typeface is a magazine-style face similar to Franklin Gothic, which I don't think is appropriate for a watch. The vast majority of people will be unconcerned or unconcerned, and the figures are easily readable.
- BM8180- 03E? Who gives these things names, citizen? br>br>If you're looking for a chunkier version of the 8180, Citizen's equally poetically-designed AT0200- is the name of the product. For a little more money, the 05E may be a good fit and has chronograph functions. If you want a watch with a little more elegance while staying within your budget, Seiko's Kinetic SRN051P1 is much thicker (14. 5mm) than this Citizen, but it also runs on sunlight, costs less, and comes with a nice leather strap. If the Citizen brand isn't up your alley, IWC will sell you a Mark XVIII Pilot's Watch for around $5000 - However, if you don't wear your watch for a few days, it will stop working. br>br>For a very low price, the 8180 has nearly everything I want in a watch and almost nothing I don't. Eco-friendly ideas from a coworker Long after the 15-minute mark, the drive was still going strong. the end of the year If mine does the same, I'll be very happy.

I love the timepiece! br>br>- first impressions I hardly notice it's there when I'm wearing it because it's light weight and doesn't feel bulky or huge on my wrist
5/5

- The olive green strap is a classic utilitarian design with a clean minimalistic dial and a straightforward message. a problem with the day/date. This watch is simple and elegant, with no unnecessary bling. This gives it a very classy understatement, which I like. It's also a very wearable watch because of the- There are a variety of outfits and scenarios to choose from.

- Lume is adequate and legible, but not exceptional; however, you cannot complain for the price. Before going to bed, I usually shine it for a few seconds with my 300 lumen flashlight, and it seems to work, giving off a nice glow in the dark!

- The strap is a little stiff at first, but after just one week of wearing it, I can already feel it breaking in and becoming more flexible, so this shouldn't be a problem in the long run.

- The Japanese Quartz movement is dependable and practical for my timekeeping requirements. I'm not a JPL-based NASA scientist who requires atomic timekeeping down to the planck-second level. I'm just a regular guy most of the time.

- The fact that I won't have to worry about changing batteries is what drew me to the watch in the first place, aside from the design. The idea of wearing a light-powered perpetual running watch on my wrist is not only practical, but it also adds a cool factor to the watch. br>br>Overall, I'm happy with my decision to purchase the watch. At this price point, this is probably one of the best field watches you can get for the money. I intend to use it as my daily driver for the foreseeable future, and I'm confident it will withstand whatever I throw at it. Let's see what she comes up with!.

A reliable Timekeeper
5/5

Wonderful timepiece, suitable for a long period of time of use I lead a very active lifestyle, hiking trails across states, climbing, and snorkeling, to name a few activities. scuba diving and knife work Cutlery, mechanic bays, and other items are among the many options. This timepiece has been through it all. Citizen has a great eye for detail. Only a few scratches on the Quartz face tell the story of the abuse I gave this watch in my twenties. After four years of continuous use, the band is on the verge of disbanding. Overall, this is a watch I'd wear out in the field. in a relaxed setting I also like the fact that the day calendar can be customized to include Spanish days. A reliable Timekeeper.
