It's amazing how nice these suits are! With a height of 6'1", a weight of 194 pounds, a medium fits me As long as it was roomy (but not poofy), had pockets (for my iPhone 7+), I could squat in it (my usual fit test to ensure my swim suit can handle a real day at the beach), and I could wear it all day long. I have to say these MaaMgic swim trunks are just right Running, bicycling, and swimming are some of the activities I do with them. In my opinion, they are the closest thing to 1970s and 1980s style, and I have been looking for them for 30 years! A size large is 5 inches and a size extra large is 7 inches In my opinion, this is fine) and the legs are cut in a bit. With straight legs, most swim trunks on the market look a bit strange, especially if you wear a large, as I do due to my wide Availability of solid colors would be nice, and Maamic makes a similar but less expensive (about $5 less per pair) solid color model that has the same fit but without the edge trim (also available on Amazon) but these are superior in almost every regard. While the more expensive ones have a softer fabric and a higher thread count, the cheaper ones are stiffer and make more noise. However, the less expensive ones shed water a lot faster, and the mesh liner is a larger mesh, allowing water to pass through easily. Although those shorts are larger in size and have a mesh liner, the shorts I'm reviewing are more comfortable. Several hours after getting out of the car, I noticed a difference in the interior.

One minor quibble I regret adding stitching to the front flap to mimic a zipper. As silly as it would be in men's running shorts, I find it ridiculous. As far as drawstrings go, my personal preference is to have them inside the bag, but in recent years most manufacturers have put them outside. One of the 1980s doesn't have an outside one. Across both models, there are 3 pockets with just the right size.

A poofy person. This pair of trunks gets me a lot of compliments. This pattern has a very vintage look to it! My favorite part is the liner. It isn't uncomfortable, but I suspect it is the reason why it puffs out. There seems to be a bit of bloat here. My plan is to remove the liner since I prefer having the extra freedom, and I would like to know if the material will lay.

This set of trunks does not have any stretches aside from the elastic waistband. A fourth shirt is on the way. I ordered sizes XL and XXL in three colors.
