I am 5'11" and 185 pounds, and the medium is the perfect size for me.
For running, it's not bad. When it's cold outside, this will undoubtedly assist in keeping you warm.

Hello,br>br>If you usually wear a medium tall, you might want to size up to a large to give yourself a little more length in the body and sleeves. A regular medium, on the other hand, should fit your torso more snugly if that is the fit you desire. It is up to you to decide which size you require. The fit of this top is described as "Regular," which means it isn't skin-tight but has enough room for another layer underneath without being too baggy. Our midweight merino has a lot of stretch to it. Please contact us at info@minus33 if you have any further questions. In January of 2018, I purchased this - It's been washed and worn about 6 times now. br>br>Always use the cold, delicate cycle in the washing machine. tumble dry on low heat. br>br>Based on the holes in this thing, you'd think I shot it in the back with a shotgun. my arms' backsides br>br>Strongly advise you not to purchase this.
I really like this brand; I've tried both Smartwool and REI merino base layers, and these fit and feel so much better. br>br>I first purchased some bottoms and was extremely pleased with the fit, softness, and warmth, so I decided to try the top, which is also excellent. br>br>I'm a tall, not-too-fat guy who has a hard time finding shirts that fit my torso well without being too short in the sleeves or being a belly shirt; this one has a nice athletic fit and is well made. Take a chance and try it out.
He's been wearing it (a lot!) for a while now. He's been doing it for a year and he's a huge fan! He enjoys the softness and warmth of this mid-weight shirt, which he wears for cycling, hiking, dog walking, and just going to town. He wears it in all kinds of weather (we live in northwestern Oregon, so the weather is constantly changing!). with a t- Shirt for cooler days, or under a heavier jacket on colder days, or even if it's raining. br>I also think it'll last a long time. In July, we acquired a puppy, who is now six months old. My husband's sleeve is frequently grabbed by him. The sleeves are completely intact, even with his razor-sharp teeth! br>As I do with all of his cycling gear, I take good care of it. Wash on a gentler cycle in cold water with no softener and tumble dry on low heat with the wrinkle guard setting for a long, cool dry. br>In conclusion - This wool shirt was an excellent investment!.
I prefer to wait until I've had something for a while before writing a review on it. This product is one of my favorites, and I wear it in the fall, winter, and spring. They accompany me on my travels and hikes, and I've even worn them as a base layer while running in the winter. Merino wool is one of my favorite types of wool. There are no unpleasant odors, and it is simple to clean. Warning: Do not use a dryer to dry this item. They don't take long to dry when hung in the shade, so pay attention to your wife's advice. Now I'm wearing a variety of hues. I got the red one first, and it's still the same color and shape after all these years. I highly recommend this product; I will never use "engineered textiles" again. GO NATURAL!.
So it was only natural that I start there when I needed a base layer to wear as a shirt on chilly Vermont mornings. This one exceeded my expectations in every way. It's the perfect size (large with a long tail). It's as soft as a cotton diaper, but it's made of Merino wool, which keeps you warm and dry. It's the perfect weight — Goldilocks, not too light and not too heavy (as I had feared). The thumb holes will come in handy when the shirt's purpose shifts to that of a base layer in the fall.
Temperatures range from 35 degrees at night to 70 degrees during the day, with strong winds in some areas. Although I needed an additional windbreaker for more heat and cutting winds, this wool performed admirably in keeping me warm during the cold parts of my hike and allowing my skin to breathe when I began to sweat profusely. At one point during my hike, I was able to remove my outer layer and just wear this wool. Given the strenuous nature of my climb, I was completely drenched in sweat after removing my outer layer (which I had been wearing to keep cutting winds at bay), but I was still comfortable in the 50-degree weather. I'm wearing this as a base layer in 60-degree weather. This product has left a lasting impression on me, and I will use it as a breathable yet warm base layer at any time. This item is extremely adaptable.
Our merino wool collection consists of Smartwool, Icebreaker, RedRam, Pendleton, and Darn Tough. Only Minus33, on the other hand, develops holes. My wife attempted to repair her 1/4 zip midweight top, but the hole continued to grow. She eventually got rid of it. br>br>Three holes have appeared in my men's grey midweight 1/4 zip, which is less than three years old. It was a huge let down.
Because I have fairly long arms and shirts tend to be a little short in the sleeves, the fit was ideal. The Large was the perfect size for me. I've washed and dried it several times and it hasn't shrunk in the least. It is warm and breathable in the right proportions. I hiked for about 20 miles in three days chasing elk in both warm sunshine and cold rain and never felt sweaty or uncomfortable. It has an incredible ability to wick moisture. It was my first experience with merino wool, and I'm now a firm believer. It's small and easy to transport. I've been recommending it to all of my friends and coworkers, and I'll be sticking with this brand for all of my base layer needs.
