It's not too heavy. It's as light as a t-shirt and very comfortable. I bought this shirt, and then I went out and bought some more. They're the most comfortable sleep shirts I've ever owned. I believe this shirt will make your husband very happy!

Why would someone make a simple, comfortable garment and then sew a sharp, jagged plastic label halfway down the inside, where it will invariably stab the wearer in the stomach? Anyone?.
There is far too much difference in size! I bought a large blue, which is a true large, and a large heather grey, which was in the middle of a large and an x-large. I bought a large black that was about the same size as a medium. br>Returned the Large Black and placed an order for an x-large instead. It was more of a 2X than a large. Re- I ordered the black large, thinking it was mislabeled, and received the same thing, but in a MEDIUM size, which I kept and gave to my wife.
It's a bit abrasive and vexing. Aside from that, the fabric is fantastic, and the fit is a little looser than expected (which is *good* for a sleep shirt).
As a gift for my boyfriend, I purchased this navy Nautica tee and navy Nautica shorts. As a bonus, I planned to give it as a gift set with the Nautica Voyage cologne (and some Nautica slippers from a local store). The cologne was delivered a little later than expected. However, I was able to locate the cologne in a nearby store. This set appears to be identical to the photo, and he claims it is extremely comfortable. The feel is soft as well, indicating that it's intended for indoor/sleepwear rather than outdoor use, and the fit was identical to his other XL tees and shorts, despite the fact that they were listed and priced separately.
I usually wear a large, so I went with the XL. It fits well in the shoulders and chest, but it is too tight in the shoulders and chest to recommend going up a size.
In case it shrank, I ordered an XL for my husband, who usually wears a Large. So much of it had shrunk. Materials that are not too expensive. It's the worst shirt I've ever bought, despite the fact that it's a lovely baby blue color. Returning all of this garbage to China or wherever it originated.
I'm not sure what size table these are rated for, but even before washing, the one I got was too small. I didn't try it on when it arrived, and now the return window has closed, so I'm stuck with a brand new, unworn shirt that is too small that I can't return.
Purchased as a Christmas present for my adolescent. It's perfect for him. It's very comfortable, and it sleeps well, according to the reviewer. No shrinkage after multiple washes and dryings, and the fabric is still soft. My son enjoyed it so much that he bought one for himself, which he enjoys. I would recommend it and purchase it again.
