Is it made of cotton or something else?

No, it's made of a man-made material called microfiber fleece. It's a man-made fabric that's less expensive than flannel made from cotton. The fabric has a small pile that is meant to mimic the feel of flannel. It retains heat well, making it ideal for wearing in the winter but not so much in the summer.

I bought two of these nightshirts for myself, and one for my father. They have such a soft and cuddly feel to them! It has a good-sized pocket, which I find appealing. I keep my insulin pump transmitter and continuous glucose monitor in my pocket while I sleep so that they are always close by.

Your partner isn't going to get all worked up about seeing you in it. Having said that, it's incredibly comfortable. No scratchy seams or stitching, generous cut: soft and warm without being restricting. When you're not trying to turn someone on, it's the most pleasurable way to spend some time lounging or loafing at home. It's a tad on the big side.
