In the last three months, I bought this terry robe to replace a terry robe that I had The robe I am reviewing has some good aspects. I am in agreement with some other reviewers. Though the fabric seems a bit scratchy at first, it becomes soft and comfortable after a few days. Due to my sensitive skin, I find a lot of things irritating to me. For example, wool can't be worn through most of the year The fabric feels quite comfortable, and I would recommend it to anyone. There is a good deal of accuracy in size A large usually fits me perfectly and the sleeves on this shirt are long enough for my 34" arms. While that may be the case, I must say that even after just three months of casual wear, this robe is already showing signs of fraying all over. There is a good likelihood that this robe will not last even a year before it begins to look a bit like a rag, with loose threads everywhere. The robe does not meet my standards, therefore, I cannot recommend it. Several customers have remarked that this robe, having been priced so low, has a good value to it. But I'm old fashioned, which explains why I expect a robe to last at least a year, I guess. Despite the rough treatment I gave my last terry robe, it lasted for.

As I lifted it from the package, I noticed a bunch of thread and fabric material fell from it. I snipped a few threads, shook it off and washed, hung dried, then fluffed it. I've used heavier terrycloth robes that made a much poorer impression than this piece.
It was well made and absorbs water well. The weight of the material is medium, but it absorbs water surprisingly fast. If you want to extend the life of the item, I recommend washing it gently and hanging it to dry.

must admit that the robe is very warm and seems to fit nicely, however, after only one month, the material is easily tearing! Soon after I got it, the robe began shredding, but it wasn't all that bad, so I kept it. However, now a month later, the robe is a mess and there are strings hanging everywhere.
