It can be hard to find anything Japanese that fits a man of this size in the U. S. It was great to receive Hanten that had been offered and delivered in such a short time period. It is large enough that I can wear a sweater under it if needed [I am 5' 10" and 150 pounds]. The sweater is very warm, extremely comfortable, and well-made, though its length does not quite come up to my thighs. In the instructions that come with the hanten, it says to hand wash to avoid damage from a machine. It makes it more difficult to clean, but it is an item that is said to be worn inside and only for the season, so it should only be cleaned once every The instructions were very specific, so it was a good thing that they included them. It takes awhile for the batting to “deflate” so it felt like a marshmallow suit when it first arrived. In daily use, it loses its inflating property and takes on a better shape. The size "M-" that I ordered fitted my 5'9" frame and thin frame My only wish is that "M" has been available, as I think it would be the Nevertheless, I like it a lot! He probably could have used a larger size (as Japanese sizes are slightly smaller than American ones), but there are no large sizes available. I asked my mother in Japan, but she couldn't locate one either. This dress still fits my husband who has long arms and a large upper body (realistically he is big and tall) - just slightly tight in the shoulders and a bit short. But he loves it and wears it around the house all the time. I like the quality a lot! I was surprised at how fast the shipping was!.

When I found out that this was from Japan, I was surprised. Japanese products are of excellent quality with a wonderful sense of craft that is so characteristic of Japanese items. It is very bulky and thick but it will be perfect for skiing in the highlands of Mexico in the mornings. In my expectation, it would be thinner, more like a yukata, but it was really nice to see it.
