The buyer probably misinterpreted the fact that the sewn-on velcro has the name CONDOR stamped on it, so he figured that it was the intended patch, and so he couldn't stick anything else underneath. This is not true. The hat can be adorned with any tactical patch
This one is made of a newer plastic brim design and we opened it a few months back. If it gets wet, it won't ruin like cardboard, and it can be shaped well, but won't ruin as easily as cardboard. I like it a lot.
They are washed in the sink after I fill it with water. Once I've hung them up to air dry, I'll wash them again. There is no better hat than these.

It seems to be a very high quality hat and should be useful for training my husband in his sport, which is what it was bought the quality control appears to be lacking. I noticed the bill looked off immediately after I received it. It still had a huge unevenness when I put it on. My next inspection was of the sewing and seams on the hat, and it clearly needs to be redone. This is disappointing, especially since I have two more coming and the ones I've purchased for my husband are Christmas presents for his training as a police officer and SWAT operator. On my head and in the last picture of the enclosed photographs you can see the uneven bill. In addition, the two side shots indicate that the bill of the hat was unevenly lined up with the crown. This hat is not up to par with my other two hats. Therefore, I am not satisfied with the results.
Inspecting the hat as soon as I opened the package, I immediately noticed that the alignment between the cap and the bill is not good. There is a crooked line to the side of it. I tried to return it online. This hat is not eligible for return if it is not returned within 30 days after purchase. Buying hard from Condor has been a great experience. I will continue to do so. It would be nice to at least be able to swap it out for something else. I had to deal with this one unfortunately. The clothing will look silly on me, so I won't be wearing it.
Since I almost lost the original cap, I thought I should probably get a backup. Condor has been making them differently over the past few years, so I'm not sure which one is original. This construction has changed from several layers of mesh building the tight and breathable weave to a single layer of dual ply mesh that is lighter in weight but seems to offer less wind protection than the previous design (this seems to have been the material that was included on the adjustable styles for awhile). cap came tight and had to be worn several times until it became comfortable, but it remained anug. The new cap runs much larger and I may have to move down to a S/M if it doesn't shrink in a warm wash. Cap still of good quality, although the previous design did appear to be more durable.
The only reason I wear hats unless it is below freezing outside or I have recently shaved my head makes it a winter weight to me. Hat wearers won't mind the extra protection on their head and will appreciate the additional comfort in the heat of the summer. The cap does have a nice breathability, however it's still a chimney cap for hot days when you're very active.
The shoes felt slightly broken in when I took them out of the box, but not quite floppy yet. Condor makes many caps, but this one is by far my favorite and most comfortable because it's lighter, more flexible and dries faster than all the rest. They are all of the same quality, and they are all equally durable. The company's lightweight and comfortable cap will make you forget you're wearing it, so consider this option if you want to forget you're wearing it.
The Kryptek pattern looks nice. A 1 Star rating is deserving for not showing where the three are (there is only one shown) or showing Despite being provided with a picture, I did not know what size or type of patches to expect. There are more pictures here that can help you than the one provided. The front is the typical 3-by-2 rectangular patch, with one in the center (pictured). There is a patch point of 1"x1" on the top as well. On the back above the hook and loop size adjustment, there is a small pocket for storing small items It is a cap style cutout with a place for a patch the size of a nametape.
It's solid and thick, and the mesh has a nice, solid look, and it's not plastic netting as is usually the case. Unlike other caps, this cap fits like a watch cap and it has a velcro strap to fit any head size. My shoe size is 7 3/4, but I still have good 1/8 inch of room to spare. There are 87 Condor logos on the cap. It's the only downside of the I can't believe it! There is not only a heat stamped Condor on the front patch, there is an annoying tag on the velcro strap, an even more annoying tag on the headband, and top it off with Condor embossed Condor sold me a cap in response to my inquiry. I still give this product four out of five stars, however, since it's a good deal!.
If you like, this is a really nice gift for a man, or a woman for that matter. As part of his deployment to Afghanistan, he requested that I order the items for him. The hat must have a multicamera system in order for him to wear it. With the multi cam version of this hat, it matches most of the new army uniforms. It is much more similar to the uniforms that are used in Having the ability to adjust the back of the hat for various sizes makes this hat appear to be very high quality.
A couple of years ago, I bought a new hat from condor. My experience with the hat has been good, but it isn't outstanding. Having a dent in its profile that will never go away inherently makes the fit and finish of the product a little off. I wanted something mesh that breathed better, so I ordered this for a change of pace. I would say that this hat is a huge step up from what I previously wore. The materials are better, the fit is better, and the comfort is better. In addition to the mesh, the rest of the fabric looks to be made from ripstop material, which is supple and breathable. It is nice to see the logo detailed in the velcro panel. As well as Kryptek pattern shows up well, it doesn't overpower. If I had to choose between this hat and another, I'd pick this one.
