Questions & Answers

Is the Sherpa lining on the sleeves?

No, and I disagree with the other reviewer who claims that the lining keeps your arms warm. I think they're a lot colder, and I'd rather have sherpa sleeves and lining everywhere else if I couldn't have everything else. Since I was dissatisfied with Carhartt's decision to discontinue sherpa-lined sleeves, which I had previously owned, I switched to a $15 discount store hoodie that is fully lined with sherpa and keeps me much warmer and happier. Finding the less expensive ones in stock is the difficult part. The lined sleeves simply let the cold air in; it's like sleeping with only a sheet on your bed.

Is the sherpa lining on the body as well as the hood? Thanks?

The sweatshirt's body is lined with sherpa, which keeps it warm during the cold winters in North Dakota. It is a hit with my husband!

Peat is a light brown color. ?

It's either a dark army green or an olive green. It's a brown-green color.

Is there a pocket on the inside, and if so, how big and how many are there?

It has one inside pocket on the left breast that measures 4 3/4 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches deep.

The right to bear arms is a fundamental right in the United States of America
3/5

In the body of the jacket, there is a nice, warm, fuzzy lining. Cold, thin, slick, and uninteresting Sleeves have an insulating lining. Despite reading that it does not have the same arm insulation, I trusted the reviews that stated that the arms are warm. I'm starting to wonder if those people are Carhartt employees. Because the moment I put this on in 40-degree weather, my arms felt cold, stayed cold, and were uncomfortable. After a half-hour, I took it off and put it back. Garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage It fails miserably at keeping you warm, which is its sole purpose. There was only one job for you!.

The pocket area has a zipper that catches
3/5

I've had this jacket for about two months, and the zipper has ripped the lining around the pocket area, as shown in the photos. This is based on just two months of usage. Keep in mind that this was not worn on a daily basis because it is simply not warm enough for temperatures below zero degrees. This jacket is ideal for 20-somethings. It's 40 degrees outside, but the zipper is constantly catching, making it self-destructive and difficult to put on and take off. The teeth on the zipper have razor-sharp edges, which I believe is the source of the problem. I'm sorry this is happening because I really liked the jacket; it's the perfect weight for mid-winter temperatures. It's not too big and it'll keep you warm. I expected the zipper in the pocket area to be strange out of the box, but I expected it to break in and smooth out after a few uses. The hole had only recently begun to appear, and it all occurred shortly after the return period had expired. If the zipper in the pocket area binds in any way, return right away or you'll be stuck with it.

The jacket's interior is being torn apart by the zipper
3/5

I returned the jacket because the zipper was catching and tearing the inside. Aside from that, the jacket is fantastic. If the new one is satisfactory, I will upgrade this to a five-star rating. (Update) I received the replacement today, and the zipper catching is just as bad; unfortunately, returns must be unworn with tags, so I'll have to keep the original and return the new. On this one, Carhartt has let me down big time. Before you start wearing it on a regular basis, make sure the zipper doesn't catch!.

IN NO WAY WAS THIS WHAT THE DISCRIPTION SAID
3/5

Disappointed to the point of frustration. This jacket had a detailed description of what I was looking for. I didn't want it at all. I wanted a warm, cotton/poly lined, rain-resistant hoody sweatshirt that a rancher could wear while doing out-of-door work. This was sent to me with the intention of being worn by a runner. A rancher would not be caught dead in this tight-fitting jacket with curvy inserts and a slick silky-feeling fabric. This was the worst Amazon order I've ever made; it'll be returned, but what a hassle. This was a necessary purchase. Is Amazon becoming too large to meet the demands of its customers?.

This is a mid-weight sweater rather than a light sweater
5/5

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to try it on at our local tractor supply store; however, they only had black, so I had to order it from Amazon. Great sweater for short outings in the mountains. It's 32 degrees with a base layer on, and I live near Lake Tahoe. I'm 5- I'm 9 years old and weigh 215 pounds with a pot belly. I wear a size XL.

For semi-casual wear, this hoodie is ideal
5/5

chilly These are long, but not particularly slender. My height is 6'3" and my weight is 185 pounds. The XLT (which is what I wear in Dickie's) was enormous, far too large. Then I got a Large Tall shirt (same as 95% of my shirts), which was still too long but too tight as well. I decided to give the XL a try. and that's exactly right! br>br>Aside from that, these hoodies are of good quality. Yes, the Sherpa and nylon-blend coats are both available. Sleeves are nylon on both lined and unlined. Every other Sherpa feels the same way, though. I've never seen a hoodie with lining. They repel light rain, but not heavy rain, and I wouldn't expect them to keep me dry in a downpour. Regardless, this is my go-to winter coat now.

Purchased in both Regular and Tall sizes, both of which were of excellent quality
5/5

I ordered this in Tall as a gift for my son, who is 6'2" and weighs 190 pounds, after reviewing my Regular size purchase. It fits him well and is roomy enough for layering, which he prefers. He also has trouble finding long enough clothes, even in Tall sizes, and this one is definitely long enough, falling just below the hips. Apart from that, I'll just copy/paste my own review because everything else is identical, including the color (which I double-checked): br>br>Whenever I buy a new Carhartt item, I always wonder if it will hold up to the Carhartt standard. To compare it to, I have a similar item in a different color that I purchased a few years ago. Inside, the Sherpa fleece is still thick, albeit not as dense as my other one. I don't think it will be an issue because I layer when the temperature drops below 20 degrees. Quilted nylon is still used to insulate the sleeves. Those who complain about the sleeves not having sherpa inside them should consider how difficult it would be to get them on and off if they did. I prefer to wear a flannel shirt or sweatshirt, as they keep me warm enough, but that's just me. Even though I wear it in the winter, it's a hoodie, not a coat. br>As expected from Carhartt, the zipper glides effortlessly. Because I sew, I'm always checking seams, stitching quality, neatness, and other details. This was made in Vietnam, and it's gorgeous. The zipper glides smoothly not only because it's a good zipper, but also because it's securely fastened - There is nothing for it to cling to and become stuck on. Stitching is straight and even throughout the jacket, with no loose ends, misses, or crooked corners, curves, or pockets. Even the hood's seams, those curves, were perfectly spaced stitches. It was built with a great deal of pride by whoever built it. (The graphite shade was ordered. ).

This hoodie is perfect for the colder months
5/5

I work as an ER nurse and needed a hoodie that would keep me warm while also allowing full range of motion for my arms and upper body and not getting dirty with everything I see. All of these were accommodated by this hoodie. I can wear it in and out of the office without fear of it becoming wet and waterlogged, and it keeps me warm and dry. My only criticism is that it is a little bulky; when I sit down, it seems to ride up and the top of the zipper is halfway up my nose, but I can live with that.
