There is no way for me to answer the question of whether conventional dryers are good or bad for you. My clothes are hung out on a clothesline (old fashioned, right), but at least they don't shrink. you should use a dryer at low heat if you use one.

While I enjoyed the feel and look of the shirt, I had issues with the fit. The fabric was pleasantly soft and I enjoyed the style of it. Five feet seven inches tall and 155 pounds, the medium fit a little big (I normally wear a I wish I had gone with the small because it wasn't a dress at all. I also did not like the slim fit of the shirt. A taper at the waist or on the arms was not present. Besides wearing it around the house or taking my dog for a walk, I was looking for a nice-fitting yet lightweight Henley that I could wear to grab drinks with friends in the summertime. I love the versatility of a shirt such as this. White and green are the colors I bought, but I am considering buying other colors as well. This shirt is SO soft that it's hard not to tell everyone you meet to feel it. Wear it at a bar, to a sports game, to take out your trash, to meet your girlfriend's parents, or anywhere else. The only complaint I have is that I have had to wash them seven times so far It wears out after 8 times and the quality does begin to deteriorate. According to my calculations, I have a good chance of getting 25-35 I would like for them to last for at least 30 washes before I buy.
However, it does not appear that the shirt is a true slim fit based on the photo I took. My own shirts, dresses, polo shirts, and workout clothes are all slim fit, so I can say that these aren't quite as trim as they should be. The length of the shirt appeals to me, since I am 6'1" and so many shirts are being made the size of skirts now. Shorts or jeans will look great untucked with these because they are the perfect length. I'm a 172 lb. lean runner and I chose the medium size.
