Questions & Answers

What is the current state of the padding issues that the "top review" mentions? Hopefully, I will be able to do this again. ?

The grandson loves them! I bought them for him as a Christmas gift. According to him, they are the most comfortable boots he has ever owned. As far as he is concerned, there are no problems with the lining.

Can the warranty be used to replace the cloth behind the ankle after it has been worn out after six months?

The company does not actually employ me, nor do I represent it But I can't imagine that a pair of boots would last through six months of wear under even the best warranty. It was the first few pairs of these boots that I had problems with. I've worn these boots for nearly 10 years now and I've had this problem every time. Lace them up tight over the arch of the foot (like a pair of tennis shoes) and the problem goes away. Usually, in work boots with high ankles, the laces around the ankles are worn tightly and the laces over the arch are worn loose. While the boot is kept tightly on your foot, your foot is permitted to move around on the sole of the boot a bit. It's not like these boots are for work. Designed by Converse for US soldiers in the battlefield in the early 2000's, they are still in use today. The boots have been designed to cater to comfort and speed of movement, but some of the durability and protection normally found in work boots has been sacrificed. My job requires me to be on my feet the majority of the day in a highly challenging environment, and I am lucky if I get an entire year out of a pair of shoes. My current ones usually last between six months and a year. It's not worth it if you only bought them for the looks. That's not what they're designed for. It is as though you are investing in durability to last for years. That's not what they're designed for. The best thing you can do is buy them if you need a pair of light, comfortable boots that will help you feel less tired at the end of a busy day. (But wear them like tennis shoes, not If they are made this way they will last longer and be more comfortable)

The job I have is a UPS delivery driver I climb in and out of the truck a lot, and I walk a lot. Would these be a good fit for me?

As a matter of fact, I think they will. They are a good choice for work as I walk a lot. A non-slip pair of shoes has been worn by me Since 2009, I have worn the safety toe version of these day-in and day-out at home, and I have loved them ever since!

What kind of iron tip do you have for this item?

I cannot do so at this time

The boots I'm wearing right now are my favorites
5/5

The first thing I know about boots is that I'm a very particular person when it comes to them. My job requires me to wear them 16 hours a day on a rotating shift of 21 days. It is my job to work with lime, acids, bases, fuels, and any other hazardous materials you can think of. The last time I tried to buy American boots, I spent a lot of money, but my feet hurt the most. Thank you for sharing them. I was looking for them and stumbled upon them. In comparison with other boots I have owned, I like that these are light weight and durable, and the zipper does not wear out as easily as some. Although I spend a lot of time shuffled across hot asphalt, the seems are holding up and the soles are still intact. The only con to them is they're not waterproof but zipper convenience is worth the sacrifice after all, I wear muck boots while hiking. This boot is highly recommended, and Reebok must have read the negative reviews and changed some of the problems before shipping it out. Considering I'm flatfooted, wearing a size 13 and weighing nearly 300 pounds and have yet to buy insoles, it's no wonder I'm so frustrated. I wish you luck in your boot hunt.

Their lightweight and comfortable design makes them ideal for the summer
5/5

I was talking to someone last The proof is in the pudding! It was in the spring that I bought these boots. Their lightweight and comfortable nature makes them an excellent choice. I literally had my foot saved by the surgeons last night. When a 35-year-old man came at me from behind I was on my knees bent over in a trench I rolled forward to get off of the concrete truck after it backed over my foot, stopped, and rolled back. The pain I felt in my foot and ankle felt like it was crushing. A hospitalized patient was seen by An X-ray showed only a very tiny fracture (if there was one at all) as well as bruising and swelling. They were all amazed, even the doctors! A freaking concrete truck was driving with its load full. My foot would have been torn apart if I had been wearing steel. This boot is made of composite material that bent inside and looks a little worse for wear, but it protected my The only boot I will ever buy is this one. Probably 20 or more items have been sold in the last 24 hours On these boots, there are 30 people.

I advise you not to purchase this product
3/5

It's awful that these boots are so bad. As a soldier of the US Army, I were stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq for about six and a half years. It has never been so uncomfortable for me to wear a It doesn't matter how many months of wear I give to break in. When I wear them, my heels blister and they feel like something is stabbing me in the ankle bone. These old Converse ones are the best. I had them overseas and adore Those two things are not the same!.

It's been going well so far, but one slight issue has cropped up
4/5

The size 10 heels I bought for work were purchased a couple weeks ago. My job is to instruct at a training center, so I spend a lot of time standing up and moving. In the past three years, I wore an awesome pair of Nike SFB's from the 1st generation (much better than the current version). Since I had been wearing those for so long, switching to these Reeboks was not too difficult. took a while to get used to just because of the sheer size of the boots in comparison to the Nikes. As well as having to get used to the side zippers, it is my first pair of boots with such a feature. There is no hassle when putting these on or taking them off since they come off quickly, and it's convenient since it saves me from having to tie the laces. Now that I have seen side zipper boots, I am sold. In terms of weight, these big, bulgy boots weigh surprisingly little considering their size and bulk. This pair of boots is bulkier than the Nikes! The first time I put them on, I felt like I was wearing Super Mario jump boots. Although there is a break-in period of a few days or so, the boots themselves are fairly comfortable. In terms of size, the boots seem true to size, but they are wider than normal in terms of width. There's also a little extra space in the toe box, but I actually prefer having my toes able to move around a little bit. It is a little stiff, but no stiffer than other boots. Good ankle support, but a little stiffer than other boots. As a result of wearing the Nikes for a long time, I got used to them. I think that the sole con of these boots is that the side zippers are not functional. Excess material is facing the zipper on the inside of the boot at the point where the tongue meets the zipper. My right boot has excess material that has a crease folded into it, which sticks out a little. However, it sticks out enough where it causes a hot spot on my ankle, and it is somewhat painful after about 5 minutes of wearing the shoes. It didn't last long until I noticed that the seam had not flattened out when I was putting the boots on, so I intentionally repositioned it. This excess material will soften up and flatten out over time, I'm confident. Though I subtracted a star for this one issue, I still did not like what I found. As well as the fact that Amazon doesn't allow a half-star deduction. The quality and finish of these boots are excellent out of the box, and they feel good once they have been broken in. For the price I paid, these boots are worth it. It might be worth it for you to pull the trigger and pick up a pair of these if you're on the fence.

I slipped on the job after 5 days and my toe gave way
3/5

Same thing happened to the second pair as well. I would have given these boots 5 stars if only they had been on the job for 5 days. When they broke in, they had just begun to get broken into. Getting down on one knee to fix an outlet was a difficult task for me because I carry a lot of weight. Unlike the toe of a shoe, this one no longer sits in the front. I don't think there was any impact or anything really damaging that caused it Just kneeling and touching my toe on the ground was enough to cause it to cave in. Though the boots have some issues, I have loved them nonetheless. The walking shoes are very comfortable and stylish. The cooler is good for hot weather, and it is a good purchase all around. If I decide to try another pair to find out if this was a fluke, I will update my review.

UPDATE
I ordered a replacement pair and the 2and pair was worse than the first pair. In some places, they were very uncomfortable due to the angles and the raw feeling caused by the boot. Unlike the first pair, the second pair does not seem to have this problem. It took me two weeks to break through the pain and finally they worked. It's been about a month since I started wearing them and the toes have fallen in yet again, causing a pinching sensation. That's too bad since they would be a great boot if it weren't for the toe cap issue.
