He has stinky feet due to these. It was never the case for brown ones. Although he still wears the shoes, they aren't cheap, and he still has to wear them to work, so he doesn't like to get stinky feet on his return home. The black ones are still comfortable and fit well, but he probably won't buy them again because of that. In addition, he didn't change any of his socks or sneakers either, and none of his other boots or shoes smelled bad after he wore.
I have never worn boots as comfortable as these. Nice boots. I can picture how they would help reduce the amount of hip and back pain associated with walking all day on tough surfaces.
I've bought two pairs and thrown some hard-core rubber in them I wear the toe on them all the time and they are very comfortable work boots, I've worn through the soles several times, and I have yet to experience any leather or stitching failures.

I am a finish carpenter and installer and I absolutely love these boots. I had stopped buying Irish Setters for 2 years, but so happy to be back to them. The puppies do not require any breaking in and fit snugly and comfortably. You might want to play basketball on them.
Two pair of Irish setter hunting boots have been my companions for the past 20 years. I switch them back and forth during dog training and bird season. Recently I retired a pair of boots (15 years old) and I needed a new pair, so I went with my brown wing shooters which are 6 years old. It's easy for me to recommend these boots, since they're They used to make these boots in the old style with the green canvas uppers. These boots are still top quality upland boots, but I wish they still had the old style with the green canvas uppers!.
If you purchase your shoes from a Red Wing store, be sure to add the custom moldable insoles.
