Boots can be lined with polyester and I did so for more comfort. Warm and dry. Snow and ice are no match for this. I had no issues with this shoe. It was good for cold temps with good socks. Perhaps these will be a little warmer at 60 degrees. With thin socks it may be okay. The length of time at home and the amount of walking are the only things that matter. Generally speaking, these are suitable for colder temperatures. The temperatures ranged from 30 to 45 degrees, maybe as high as 50 degrees at the end of the trail, where I walked in snow and water with thin ice coating. In view of the price, I found them to be better than expected

It is important to know how big the opening is. Is it okay if my calf is 18"?

A size 12 boot has an opening close to an 18. A bigger boot will have a larger opening than a smaller boot.

Boots are comfortable and true to size. I wear a size 10 1/2 shoe, so I decided to buy an 11. They're just a tad large, but that means there's more room for I still have a good fit and they don't When used twice hunting in 30° weather, the boots never got cold on my feet. The experience so far has been very positive. Took a risk and tried these instead of the Muck brand because I couldn't justify spending that much money on it. That was the best decision of my life. The lack of 1000g insulation is not a deal breaker, but I would prefer it.

The tread is great. The size 10 is my shoe size. My normal shoe size is a 5 but I ordered a 10 because I don't like to wear heavy socks. It's best to order a size up if you'll be wearing heavy socks.

A little tight to me, but otherwise very good. The other pair of socks would have sufficed if I had only worn one pair. In order to make sure it fits, I ordered one size larger than my normal size.

I highly recommend this hotel due to its excellent insulation and comfort. It's a good deal to buy this boot. Despite their heavy weight, they are not as light as they look. The price of these boots may not be a major factor for me, but may matter to someone else who is.
