Questions & Answers

Is the surface waterproof straight out of the box, or do they need spraying?

My third pair of these is just as comfortable as the first two. There has not been a single one that has been waterproof straight The best it can do is be slightly water resistant.

Can you tell me the width of the men's size chart?

Despite having a wide foot, I have a narrow waist. We usually get a free EEE if it is These are 10 facts about the world. It works great with Moab 5 W. During a 23 mile AT hike with them, I felt comfortable and not tired at all. Keeping your ankles supported is also a good idea. This is a great recommendation

These boots are a step up in quality from older boots that have gore-tex Is this text? As far as I know, gore tex, which is the material that supposedly keeps things waterproof, is a good material. ?

So far I have not soaked these Merrells. Their lightness and comfort make them a good choice. This shoe is very nice. As far as the other Gore Tex model goes, I am unsure. It has been my experience that other types of hunting boots with Gore waterproofing have also been effective. In my opinion, Gore is not impressive.

A size 13 and a 14 are suitable for me I'm looking at Moab Morel hiking boots So what does this mean in terms of ?

A 9 is the size I wear. A size 9 fits just about every athletic shoe I have and a 5 fits just about every one as well. I wear a 5 2E and it fits perfectly!

There is no time to waste with these
3/5

The Merrell Hiking boots I usually wear are my favorites. The last pair I had allowed me to hike three times in the Grand Canyon! My experience with this pair was disappointing due to the fact that after just 3 weeks of daily use as a K9 Handler, the inside toe of the right boot started ripping, the stitching came out, and I had to fix them using Shoe Goo. You need Shoe Goo to fix the stitching of these shoes. I find these boots to be the most comfortable and waterproof that I have ever worn. I used to own a pair of hiking boots that cost half as much and lasted three years. It's a pity they don't make the right boot as well as they do the left. This is what I suggest they sell separately - these boots. The issue isn't the width since these are wide. For Merrell boots I would recommend going cheap if you have to wear them every day - the more expensive don't appear to be any better. I found them to be a waste of money. You can't beat them while they're still around It took about two months to finish At this rate, I would have to spend about $800 a year on these Merrells if I bought them new!.

Please take caution The waterproof factor is not maintained by the designer
3/5

Within 100 miles, the sole separator will be revealed. This product is not roughly 40 miles along the Teton Crest Trail when it rained on and off, and this boot gets soaked in just two hours The trail rained 3 hours every day for 5 days, so my feet and socks were wet. And to top it all off, the outside sole of the boot has separated from the rest of the boot after less than 100 miles. (Despite having no recognizable cracks or holes in the right boot, it leaks fluid. Since my arches are flat, I had to trade in the insole for a pair made by superfeet. It still causes hot spots on my balls of my feet and heels, but this is merely my experience. It's obvious I experience blisters on the insides of my toes when wearing these shoes, but I'm guessing that's due to the In my opinion, I would have expected a more durable and more performing shoe with the price tag. For wet and dry conditions, this shoe is fine, but when you're on a trail and on the hunt for a durable boot for muddy and wet conditions, this shoe.

The durability of this product is poor
3/5

The durability of the device is extremely poor. A sporting goods store sold me a pair of these sneakers a year ago. My first pair of these proved very durable and comfortable, but they were a bit small. I hiked well over 400 miles in them and perhaps wore half of the tread off of them. Apart from being a bit small, the fit and construction of the shoes were excellent. These socks were relegated to my sports closet so I could wear them with thinner socks in the summer. While I waited for the ones I requested online, I purchased a pair 1/2 size larger in late December. I was equally pleased with the construction, fit and comfort as I was with my It is unfortunate. We were very disappointed in the durability. This is just not right! These have been used for 7 weeks and I do not know how many miles I have driven on them yet. There is rapid deterioration of treads and over 50% of the tread wear life has already passed. What possible explanation do you have for that? Is there anything I should know, Merrell? It is no longer in my interest to trust your company or your product(s), nor am I able to afford to buy boots every 3 months if I chose to do so. While they are advertised as Vibram soles, they are entirely and completely devoid of the legendary durability of Vibram. Update on

A message was sent to Merrell, but I did not receive a It may be necessary to re-arrange the lugs and soles temporarily to resolve the separation Superglue can be used for attachment. I will do that for a while to try and get my money's worth out of the purchase, but I will not buy anything from Merrell in the future.

The only way to do it is- As a result, it is waterproof
3/5

I like it very much. This is my size 10 I am 5'2" tall. There are varying degrees of 5 and 11 depending on the brand, and these are definitely an 11. The size of these sneakers is similar to that of It is recommended that you choose the larger size if you are in between two sizes. The shoe has a snug fit, but is not too tight, and the toe box is quite roomy. That's right on the mark. The best way to describe comfort is to say I do not have a lot of experience with trail runners or modern hiking shoes. Most of the boots I've worn are Danner big leather boots. Despite their lightweight and comfort, I found these Moab 2s to be extremely comfortable. The shoes were comfortable enough for me to do a five mile hike in them and to go deer hunting for two days in them. You hit the nail on the head Br> DesignBr>Br> * I am more impressed with the color (Beluga) than I expected to be. Vibram soles are pretty impressive for all-purpose activities. They provide good traction, are flexible enough to do anything, but are rigid enough to protect you if you must walk The boot is easy to put on and take off, and they won't sink on your feet unless you are in some extremely deep The boots stayed waterproof for most of the day, but my feet did warm up and sweat a bit in hot weather. You're right on the mark! A "waterproof" product In order to make this accurate, I had to put it in scare quotes. Water resistant, or, at best, temporarily waterproof, are how I'd describe them. After a hike in intermittent heavy rain, where the shoes performed well at first, but after a few hours of the outside of the shoes being wet (especially near the bottom of the trail when I had to hike across wet vegetation), my toes and sides began to feel wet. In this case, the water began from the bottom and ran up into the tops of the boots. At the end of the hike, I had to change out of my sandals, socks, and my shoes. As I awoke in the morning and put on my stilletos after leaving them overnight under my tarp, I noticed that they were still there. I'm sopping up On the return hike, I had wet boots. I thought it was due to the extreme weather conditions, so I wore them two more times in the wet during deer season. After spending the morning in mild rain walking through wet grass, my socks went wet again near the bottom. This has not impressed me As a whole, I find these pretty decent, except for their water resistance, which can be rather annoying.

You've got to wear something that's durable enough to withstand being rained on for about 8+ hours nonstop while stepping in water and more
5/5

There is no other way to describe these things. My work requires that I wear sturdy shoes that can hold up to being rained on for like 8+ hours non stop while stepping in water and the rest. These things have been so wet that I thought they may let water through, but they have not. On my motorcycle I also ride with these when I know I will be riding in bad weather and I know my feet will always hurt from riding in bad weather. It would be nice if there was a version with high boots.
