There is a fundamental design flaw with belt loops on 550s, which cause the belts to rip out and fail. I own several pairs of jeans that have loops attached to reinforced seams on the 505s, but the loops on the 550s are stitched straight through thin fabric above the seam, and I have always ripped them out. A bluejean like this is closer to an original bluejean. I think they cheat and use a fabric that is already soft to bring out the starch. Rinsed should be washed enough to remove the starch, but I think they use a soft fabric. Since the beginning of last year, I have been starting with raw or rinsed milk.
