When it rains for long periods of time in Ecuador, it is waterproof. I couldn't agree more. It's not a good idea in a wind, and water will inevitably get in your legs. The best way to cope with this is to wear rain pants and waterproof boots.

There is a bit of a difference between my head and average head size. There is a bit of a squeeze at the opening for the face and head of the poncho. Once it started raining, I realized that the opening of the poncho was too tight and took it off. While it did the job, it was not very comfortable. In an attempt to help those with a "larger-than-average head" make an informed decision, I came back and wrote a brief and honest review. As far as I was concerned, Terra Hiker reached out to me, but I was not disappointed. They emailed me and asked me if I would like to take a look at their new and updated ponchos. One was sent to me and I like the adjustable collar area since it makes putting it on so much easier. This would be more comfortable to wear during a trip because the neck area is more spacious. It's for two reasons that I have a five star rating. Firstly, enter 1. Despite its thinness, the poncho does not feel You and your gear will be kept dry in it. Fans of college football are huge in our family. The two games or more of our favorite team that we attend every year fill our schedule with anticipation. We've received tickets for a game every year for 7 years, and it has rained during that game every time! Many people have suffered from cold, wet misery due to the rain! Well, I didn't want to take any chances this year. It was going to be a rainy day all day on the day of the game, even though I had purchased the tickets in advance. I am not exaggerating when I say it rained! In the stands, we wore these over our winter coats, and they kept us dry in over an inch of rain in three hours! Other ponchos we've used have only kept us dry during the first quarter or two of the game at most, but these lasted three hours. There were five quarters of the game (when we left, so it perhaps went on even longer than that! Because they were long enough, we could sit on them, and we were dry in the back too. This is exactly what I was looking for! It was an awesome price and they did an awesome job in extremely wet conditions with a long time frame!.
This is a nice poncho made of ripstop fabric that is durable, comfortable and stylish. The stop material is made up of a membrane on the inside, making it lightweight and not stinky like vinyl, PVC, or EVAO.

Exactly what I was expecting. The quality is a little worse than the Sea to Summit poncho, but the price is much cheaper (and I would buy this again). Those under 5'10" should have no trouble with the front hem hitting at their knee. Taller people should be aware the hem will not.
They are very simple, light rain ponchos that can be worn by anyone who needs protection. It wouldn't be a good idea to use these ponchos for work or during We used them on a recent trip to Alaska and they held up well to the light rain we encountered during one of our excursions.
