Questions & Answers

Where are you at?

You've got chicken butts

Do you know if the material is breathable?

Due to the fact that my husband is the one who wears it, I asked him. it is breathable and comfortable, and he does not get hot when wearing it.

Can you please show me how to fold it into a pouch like in the photograph?

I barely realized the hoodie was even in there when it was already folded up into the collar of the coat when it arrived. have not taken it out of the collar, but judging by the fact that I barely notice it is tucked away, I think it is quite simple.

Sizes can be large according to some When cycling, I prefer a floppy windbreaker rather than the standard one. Would you mind sharing your thoughts with me? I'm 5'10", 170 lbs, and have a 40" chest. What do you think?

The problem is of a large scale. A large was too loose on me, since I am 5'10" and 210 lbs with a 46" chest. I got a medium and it fits really well, except for the little tightness in the pits. If you want to buy a smaller size, do so!

Despite its name, this jacket does not offer waterproofing
3/5

As an advertisement for this jacket stated that it was It was important to me not to buy one that was water-resistant. "For the first time today, I wore this for a hike and it isn't waterproof, as you can see in the picture. As a result of the hike, I came home soaking wet. I wish I could give this product a zero because it does not perform as promised. This should not be bought if you are going to be outside in the rain for an extended period.

But it basically has been this way since I put it on for the first time
3/5

It has been quite a while since I bought this jacket, just over a year now, and I know it is not for rain. I can only wear it in heavy rain and the jacket is waterproof for only a short amount of time. If I walk from my car into my office, a short trip total of less than 2 minutes, the jacket is already wet and the inside of the back is Since I discovered it so late in the return window, I was unable to return it, but it's been like this since I first wore it in the rain, about 2 months after purchasing. While it doesn't get particularly wet, some water does permeate the jacket fairly quickly, and does so without causing any permanent damage. For extra precaution, I hung it on a chair, sprayed it with a hose in the middle of the back, where there are no seams, to remove any sweat or body moisture that might be inside the jacket. Having sprayed the inside, I let it sit for about five minutes to check if it was still dry. I put on my jacket when I returned to the house and it was still damp inside, so I began to feel wetness on my back through the wicking polo shirt I had on, but not so wet that the shirt looked wet after I removed it. While it is somewhat breathable, it is not very water-permeable. The jacket was worn in pre-teen and adolescence An accumulation of sweat inside a jacket in the weather of storms on a warm summer day will render it useless. As much as anything else, this jacket is more of a "water resistant, non-breathable windbreaker". This does not impress me. Windbreakers that are much more breathable would be much more appealing to me. It is preferable for my raincoat to be water-resistant so that I can stand in a steady drizzle for up to 30 minutes without getting soaked. Neither this jacket nor the other one fits. The reviewer might have got a bad one, since it claims the product is waterproof, but there are also some reviews that mention it is not. It could be that some waterproof coating gets sprayed on at the factory and they forgot to put it on me. In any case, this isn't.

A great jacket for a great price that does exactly what it says it will I can pack it in a small bag, and it also keeps me dry
4/5

This is a great fit (everything runs a bit big. I ordered one size down), and it's a great price. My motivation for voting out Donald Trump this November was sparked by it.

The sleeves of the shirt are unlined What matters is that it matters
3/5

I was very impressed with the delivery time, the fact that it fit perfectly and can withstand I knew this ahead of time, but I didn't realize what the significance of this fact was until I wore it for a couple of days It does not have lining on the sleeves. I live on the central Oregon coast where it is mainly wet all the time. Because of this, most of your decisions when heading outside depend on whether or not you care you will get soaked. You put on your big, ol' coat and head out if you care. It's OK if you don't have a coat. Just go out, get wet, and watch the rain. In my older age, the option of "I'll just get wet" has become less appealing to me. Hence, I got this thinking it would come in handy in those cases when I would normally just have to suffer wet feet. I thought that this little bag would be perfect for staying dry without overheating because it was small and light. All except that the sleeves are not So, if it is a relatively nice day, but raining as usual, and you put this over your short sleeves and head to the garage, it will be stuck to your arms like a wetsuit by the time you get there. Despite the outside rain, this isn't a result of it. The coat becomes wet because of moisture trapped inside of it. The moisture impervious material effectively sticks to your arms the moment it comes into contact with It is not nice to feel that way. As a matter of fact, the feeling is very similar to "I cannot wait to get my hands on this. ". As a result, short sleeves may be appropriate on days when the temperature claims it's warm but the clouds claim it's rainy. ". If it is cold, I will keep it since it is easier than dealing with a heavy coat for quick outdoor adventures in cold weather. I would have liked its functionality to be better, but it does not live up to my expectations.

This should not be called a raincoat, but a windbreaker
3/5

My husband recently used this item in the mountains when we were on holiday last weekend. We just received it last week and we've just had a chance to use it. In the course of the weather, it rained off and on quite a bit, and during the first time it rained, which was NOT a downpour but a regular light rain, it soaked through the jacket material and left wet marks on his shirt. It is a bit of a stretch to call this jacket Columbia's Observe Jacket.

I am all- This is a great rain jacket that you can use for many years
5/5

For my teenage son, I purchased this rain jacket. While part of me wanted the rain jacket I bought for him to have a bit more substance to it, that's not the point of it being a spring No soft lining is supposed to be on this because that's not what it's designed for. I live in Virginia where you typically go each year (but not spring warm/hot days, but with significant rain. It is so hot in the winter that you cannot even wear a lightweight winter hooded jacket but a regular other jacket is fine Neither a spring jacket nor a jacket that repels rain will suffice. It is convenient that this lightweight, hooded jacket protects you from rain without using an umbrella. Buying Columbia, I thought he would have it for years to come considering he's done with all of his major growth spurts & also because he's done with growing up. There are typically not enough of these in our area to warrant purchasing a new one each year to keep up with a growing child. Besides being so compact and packable, it takes up so little space and so it would be the type of item I would recommend he stow in every duffle bag or suitcase he brings on trips as a "just in case" kind of item. Adding it to your luggage will save so much weight that you will appreciate it if you need it In the end, it didn't matter that you brought it even if you weren't using.
