On Friday, I crossed my fingers and ordered this jacket from Amazon, which I received the following Monday. It's perfect--perhaps a tad tighter than I'd prefer, but I'm curious how a large would fit--but the product is fantastic! This is a site from which I would order again and again. MY DAY HAS BEEN MADE DUE TO YOU!.
My wife initially ordered one of the less expensive jackets ($85), but the color was nowhere near maroon. It was more of a cardinal red than a crimson. It looked awful when I put my varsity letter from high school on it, which was maroon and white. The wool had a poor quality as well. The material is thin and light. It demonstrated that you get what you pay for once again. br>br>So I took the plunge and bought one of these Stewarts. I waited with baited breath for one of Strauss Letterman's jackets to arrive, unsure if the maroon wool portion of the jacket would be maroon or a different shade of red. br>br>I was ecstatic when it arrived. It was the perfect shade of maroon to match my varsity letter. The wool body of the jacket is of exceptional quality, as are the white leather sleeves. br>br>One of the company's biggest selling points is that these jackets are available in tall sizes. I am 6'5" tall and require a sleeve length of at least 36". I ordered the XLT size because my chest is 45", and it fits perfectly. I paid around $220 with tax for the jacket, and I couldn't be happier. If you want a high-quality Letterman's jacket that will last for years, I highly recommend this company. Is it expensive to get them? They are expensive, but they are well worth it.
You'll fall in love with it the moment you get it. My likes: The jacket was absolutely stunning. It's of excellent quality. The leather sleeves are ideal, and the blue wool shade is stunning. It fits well around the chest, arms, and waist, and it's a good length. The jacket comes down past my belt, and it keeps you warm. I'm 5'7" and it comes down past my belt. It has a left-side inside pocket and is of excellent quality. br>br>Some of my pet peeves are: 1) The jacket had an old dust on a small portion of the front chest area, as if it had been on display in a store for a long time, then just packaged without being vacuum-packed. dry- Treatment with cleaners 2) The white paint on a couple of the jacket's white buttons had been stripped away, almost like a display model. br>br>Apart from that, the jacket is very nice and you will enjoy it.
The jackets I ordered were in excellent condition when they arrived. There are no quality concerns. However, I ordered an XL for my mother, who can comfortably wear a men's/unisex XL (not form fitting, but not baggy). It's just comfortable). I compared my size to hers to determine which jacket to purchase. I wear an XXL and occasionally fits an XL. "By these inch standards, I should be able to just fit into the XL jacket," I reasoned, "so this would be the ideal size for my mother, who is 50 pounds lighter than me. " "br>br>The waistline appeared to be a little too tight. Granted, my mother is curvy, but the jacket would not have fit if the waistline had not been able to stretch. To get the bottom buttons to snap, I had to pull on them quite hard. So, if you're curvy, I recommend measuring yourself or going up a size (based on what size unisex shirt you can comfortably wear). My mother, on the other hand, adored it because it reminded her of her high school days, and I easily won the "favorite kid of the year" award. br>br>As for the second jacket, it was a large and was for my girlfriend, who usually wears a men's/unisex medium. This time, I think going up a size will be the better option, but we'll see how it goes. Since this is supposed to be a Christmas gift, I'll update it around the holidays.
My chest, sleeve, and waist measurements were perfect for the size chart. However, don't forget about the area between your chest and waist! I'm overweight and have a stomach that's bigger than my chest, but I've always worn zippered jackets, and that style seems to help me hide my problem. There are a couple of snaps in the middle that are quite tight. The sleeves would be too long if I exchanged it for the next size up. As is, the jacket is attractive and comfortable, but it will be ideal once I lose 10 pounds.
I'm always hesitant to purchase clothing or shoes online, but this jacket fulfilled all of my expectations and then some. This was bought for my Halloween costume as "Archie Andrews. " The fit was exactly as it said it would be, and the materials used were of excellent quality. It does a good job of trapping body heat, so if you're looking for a "winter coat," you'll be fine in the low 40s to upper 30s. I'm very pleased with this jacket in general.
Excellent quality, just like my husband's high school one! (His h. one "decreased in size. " He also claims that it is extremely comfortable. (It was purchased for his 70th birthday party, but he intends to wear it on a regular basis).
WHICH ARE THE REASONS FOR MY PURCHASE? br>I saw a man in a TV show wearing a jacket that reminded me of someone I knew in college. I looked it up on the internet and discovered the coat's name. I purchased two different letterman jackets, one from one company and the other from another. THE WONDERFUL. br>br>THE EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EX br>I like how it feels, especially on the inside, because it's warm and inviting. The silky feel of the inside material glides against my skin whenever I wear it, and the material on the sleeve is one of my favorites. It has a leathery texture. THE WORST. br>THE WORST. br>My height is 5 feet and 4 inches. 23-inch sleeve length Despite the fact that I purchased their XXS size, the jacket fits perfectly on my torso. The upper arm sleeve size is extremely large and long, causing the sleeves to appear crumpled. br>br>WOULD A GOOD BUY OR GOODBYE BE A GOOD IDEA? br>I wanted to find clothes that were close to perfect for me. br>Although the material may justify the price, I found a better alternative that looks better on me and costs half as much; however, the cloth is different. br>This is the last time we'll see each other. TIP. br>br> br>Always refer to the clothing size chart and keep a tape measure handy. br>The sleeve should be at the base of the thumb for me. br>Sleeves should be close to straight and neat. It will suffice to make a few folds. br>I kept the other one, which came from a different company. BCPOLO (from BCPOLO) is an acronym that stands for "Britis.
