The boot I have is both the Ariat 10010963 in brown and this boot. Although they look the same, the brown duster is much more comfortable and wore in immediately, while the black deertan takes a long time to break in and doesn't feel as comfortable as the brown duster.
The square toe did not sit well with my husband, and after about three weeks, the right boot began to "squeak." I have no idea why this happened. The fit was good, as my husband wears a 9 shoe, but took a 9 1/2 boot, they were comfortable for him, he said they were nice

You've done a wonderful job! The reason I selected these boots is that I previously purchased another pair of Ariat Sport Western boots in a different color and found them to be excellent. Working in an office environment, another pair of brown boots served my purpose, so I wanted a pair of black boots to make things match. It was my hope that these would provide a similar level of comfort and quality to my other Ariat shoes, and I have not been I like them just as much as my brown pair, they fit well, and they look good with my workspace attire. What's even more impressive is that the boots are comfortable from the very beginning! A good pair of black cowboy boots of this type is hard to find. Its construction is solid leather, and it doesn't scuff easily, which is nice. I am in real estate, in a busy, but semi-rural area. I need boots that look nice and hold up well when walking in rough terrain and walking through construction sites. In these, I am able to walk all day and stand for extended periods with no problem. Having to break them in requires a long period of time (as all boots must). Once they have been broken in, they are awesome.
