After I had pierced my body with a regular 18G mall piercing at 13, I decided to explore more. This set was stretched to 10MM (00G) when I bought it. I decided to push my luck after having 6 MM (2G) in for 6 weeks and see if I could jump 8 MM (0G) straight to 10MM (00G) while stretching. Immediately after I implanted the first 10MM taper, I experienced an acute pain and began bleeding (which should never happen when tensing). The sea salt soak immediately soothed the pain and I was able to heal This is a lesson we can all learn! A little over two years later, I was able to stretch glass to a thickness of 12MM (1/2"). Initially, I wasn't planning on stretching any larger for a while. After 2 months at 12MM, so I thought I was healed, I had acrylic plugs inserted that I thought looked cool. Excellent quality at a very reasonable price.

Stretching your ears, however, is not pleasant. Both my wife and I are artists that specialize in body modification, so we are both very knowledgeable about this field. Having a piercing has not been on my radar since my early college days, so I left my ears at 6g for almost a decade before I decided to try stretching my ears. This kit comes with a very nice stainless taper pair in pairs, true to size, along with stainless tunnels and a titanium o-ring. Everything is well made, beautiful, and very reasonably priced. It is a ring for every occasion. *While my wife stretched up to 0g, I am now at 2g with little effort. Since I am a big fan of the "slow taper" method (not a huge fan of pain), I have used smaller and smaller size balls. Before I could push the taper all the way through, I needed to secure it with rings from other sets. As of now, everything is working great, but I expect that 0g tapers will be a bit difficult. The taper is rather short at 0g, compared to the end diameter, meaning that the accent is very heavily placed at the front. However, my wife was the only one who complained about this kit. I am yet to test how well it works for me.
