My walking shoes have been with me for almost a year. When I weighed 270 pounds last summer, I started walking a few hundred meters each day, but by fall, I was walking six miles a day Walking 8 miles a day is great! After losing 20 pounds, I'm down to 190 pounds and my Asics Venture 5s are showing their age. Although I normally wear orthotics, I have never used them with the asics, and my feet have been fine! By the way, I recently bought some new balance on sale and my feet immediately began to hurt! I am buying a new pair of asics venture5s today.
It is true that they are The shoe size chart link tells me I want a 2E, not a 4E Ultrawide size, but Amazon Zappo's only have 'normal' Narrow and 4E Ultrawide sizes. WayneM, thank you for checking. There is no 'half size larger' option available, apparently they don't pay attention to what people buy, and restock is not done. My D is actually very NARROW, so I went ahead and ordered it. My shoes fit perfectly with the laces all the way stretched out when they arrived. Even so, I still enjoy them A solid sole and a light sole make these shoes great. Size 10 is all that is written on the box. The letter has a width of 5 and no height. They don't include a letter listing the width either on the shoe's label. Despite the shoes' good quality, the sizing is a bit tight. It appears that Zappo's / Amazon have some work to do to avoid confusion and returns. Just stock the medium widths, Additionally, better labels for shoes should be added.

The first thing to say is that these shoes are absolute trail shoes. You should consider other options if you run the streets a lot. The second is The shoe is fantastic. It was amazing to see how much quality I was getting for the price point. Definitely a top notch service. Since I run a 10k on the road every day, I read reviews on this site and others regarding these shoes and how many people use them for road running. I am on a budget, and it's hard to find decent street shoes for less than $100 this time of year. Since I'm used to running on light weight running shoes for road use, I cannot recommend these for street use. As this is a trail or multi-surface running shoe I do not like them for street running, but after seeing the sheer volume of users taking to the black top with them, I bite. So, what am I doing wrong here? I are not doing it right. Weight is the most relevant factor. I don't think I could carry them around for a long period of time since they are bulky and heavier than my current shoes, and the break-in period was The sandals I bought are PHENOMENAL trail shoes, because I used them as trail shoes recently on some very steep local trails (I live in a very hilly region of New York) and they worked great. The trail was narrow, rock and root ridden, curved and unstoppable as it curved this way and that with almost every step, and I was running at top speed through the tree, rock, and root covered terrain. Having cleats on felt like I had a grip on my hand. In spite of the speed, I was able to turn in a flash, using trees to propel my momentum through the curves. My feet barely felt anything on the ground regardless of the different terrain types I was covering (from loose rocky soil to slipper needle covered heavy mountains). I knocked off a star for personal reasons, and really, it's not a purpose that the shoe was designed to serve, so I'm not sure if it's even fair of me to do that. It was only because I heard so many people saying they had great road running experiences, and I actually felt they came up short.
As for trail running, here is my experience Is there another pair of shoes that's better? In short, yes. There is no way they will be available at a price like this. This is the perfect shoe if you're on a budget and run trails. Last but not least, a fit that was perfect, as I forgot to mention previously.
The first thing I would like to say about these shoes is how much I love them. There must be something about these shoes because they fit perfectly and feel fantastic on my feet. In addition to wearing them for working out, walking, and every day use, I also use them for traveling. During the summer as well as the winter, they are very good. If I am going to add extra, I normally do - Normally, wide shoes are not comfortable, but with these shoes, typical widths (D) are comfortable - you just have to break them in for a couple days and they're great.

Since a few years ago I have been walking on the road. Every pair of shoes I own gets a mileage marker to track how long it can last before it needs replacing. In my career, I've never walked with shoes as low as these! It's 97 miles away! There were 53 miles in total for each of these. The miles are gentle. I walk on paved roads and in dry weather, with Darn Tough socks on, and I alternate shoes every day, so I don't wear the same shoe for more than 24 hours. In the end, I ended up tearing a small hole in the upper part of the Right shoe, near the Achilles tendon. That was the first time I did it. Following this, I found it extremely difficult to walk into today's event, and I had to call a ride home. My other shoes were a pair of Sketchers I received as a gift when I wore them alternately with these. These soles still function after many years and are still more comfortable than the foam soles. Since I always ended up scheduling my long mileage days on the same days that I planned on wearing the Sketchers, I always ended up wearing them on those days. have a little over 100 miles on them, but look as if they've never been used. (The Asics in this photo also appear to be new, with the exception of a small hole at the heel. This pair held up well, but you need to be cautious if you purchase them because the quality isn't up to par. Here are a couple pictures showing the worn hole, though it's a bit difficult to take pictures since it's in a bad spot for photos.
This was my first, and last, purchase of Asics gear.

There is no comparison between my old ASICS and these. The cushioning doesn't really feel like it exists. I was walking 11 miles a day in them for a week until I got used to them though I didn't feel pain in my feet. In the end, I felt unimaginable pain. The reason I kept wearing hems is unclear to me. In the past few days, I've been wearing sole inserts and the pain has become just As of now, they are acceptable. They do not get worn often and I will not purchase them I have never really had a negative experience with Amazon, but these shoes are awful.
