Thanks to the zero drop, these are perfect for speed and tempo workouts. Having a proper forward lean and striking the ball of your foot with the first third of your foot makes these shoes incredibly comfortable, light, and fast.
If you midfoot strike, these shoes are incredible snug and comfy and extremely fast. You should not buy these if they strike or have any heel strike. Some people report calves discomfort with zero drop shoes, but all that means is that there is an imbalance somewhere or that you do not have enough range of motion. If you are running with correct form and striking correctly, these shoes are wonderful.
The Altras I'm wearing now are my second pair, and I like them as much as my first pair, the Escalante. They are perfect for the rain season due to the outsole, which looked as if it might handle a wet surface well. This is not razor cut boat shoe level traction, but is close enough for me here (steep hills to go along with With these, my foot is more locked in, so I like the fit a little better. Occasionally I could feel my foot squirming in the Escalantes, but not in these -- they are very stable and do not squirm at all Stability is maintained without the feeling of a tight foot.
This was my first time purchasing running shoes on the internet, and I ordered the size that fits in any sports store at home in size. Mine is Now that I have five, I can try them on and see that You may need to adjust the size to 5 to 11 to ensure they There is no evidence that they run smaller than other brands in reviews.
April 2, 2021 is when the purchase will take place. After 6 weeks, a hole appears on the top of my toe. I will take $135 for you. The 50 miles a week I walk give me an expectation of getting at least three months of wear out of them.
The shoe is great. I really like it. Straight out of the box, the fit is good. The only thing I wish were better was the color options. On every shoe. . . except one that was so bland that I had no idea why it was there. I've never understood the need for white on a shoe for outdoor activities. It would have equaled five stars if they had been less white and had more "outdoorsy" colors.
It is recommended that you order a half-size larger than your usual size. In terms of game-changing features, the wider toe box is a revelation. Having run, worked out, and worked a physically demanding job for years, I have had problems with my ankle, lower leg, and feet. I will not buy another running shoe after having owned these for several months. The shoes are lightweight, feel comfortable and have alleviated foot and lower leg pain after longer runs.
This shoe has helped me not have as many recurrent metatarsalgia symptoms as I had previously. They last, however, for a short time. Despite their sturdiness, my first pair of shoes wore out pretty quickly, so I give them four rather than five stars.
I have purchased many pairs of Altra's, but this is my first pair of Rivera's. There was no disappointment from them. They are nice to look at. These are extremely comfortable and well cushioned for those of us with PF and posterior tibial tendinitis, as they are very well supported.
