It fits like a 36" for a slightly smaller waist than 36" and I have a slightly smaller waist than 36 ". I would say 38" is considered xl, so to reply to your question I would say.
believe the XLT has to do with a tall size. I'm completely lost about the 2 part thing
If you need a size XS, go for it.
