ASCENT PANTS – Designed for active hunting and charging in the mountains during early season pursuits on hot days. (Open Country, Subalpine, and Pyrite are the colors that are currently available.)

ULTRA BREATHABLE – These pants are made of four-way stretch brushed nylon fabric that is incredibly lightweight and expels heat and perspiration through mesh backed hand and cargo pockets.

MAXIMIZED MOVEMENT – For hunters on the move, a low-profile waistband and articulated knees prevent chaffing. Knee pads can be stored in the pocket, providing additional protection if desired.

Do burrs cling to your skin?

There hasn't been a single person who has clung to me. The fabric is smooth, so it's highly unlikely.

Is it possible to leave the legs out for a longer period of time?

They're welded at the hem, not sewn. It is impossible to undo.

Is there enough room in these pants to wear them for a longer period of time?

The Ascent pant's tall inseam measures a full 33 inches. 34 incehs are a unit of measurement used to measure the length of a The bottom of the pant is hemmed, and there is some extra material for length, but not much. I hope you find this information useful.

Pants that are tough to wear

I'm a big fan of Sitka's products. Have heavier pants that stretch/ fit more like blue jenas with some give in the waist. These have zero flex in the waist, so don't order exact or small thinking they'll be too big on the second day of walking/ hunting. Increase the size by one or two sizes and adjust the fit with a belt or suspenders. By noon, I guarantee your bloated breastfeast belly will not have changed the waist size of these pants! The only way these will loosen up is if you poop first thing in the morning! 😁.

I weigh 210 pounds and stand 6 feet tall

I wore these for the first time yesterday, on the opening day of Missouri's bow season. It's 94 degrees outside with no wind. This is the closest you can get to not having to wear pants. Don't get me wrong: it was sweltering outside, but these kept me as cool as possible. The quality is excellent, and the fit is excellent. I weigh 210 pounds and stand 6 feet tall. I have a 32-inch waist. Levi's 34x30. I have shorter legs, and the 36R was a perfect fit for me, and we're not too long. My pants are worn just below my hips because I have a long waist. I used the suspenders but didn't have to because it's big enough for me to tuck my shirt in. When you're sitting, they're not too tight around the waist. I couldn't be more pleased.

It's ideal for any type of hot-weather hunting

For the summer, these pants are ideal. It's very light and airy. In August, we went on a Velvet whitetail hunt in Tennessee, where the temperature was 96 degrees. These pants were paired with a lightweight hoodie from Core and Solomon shoes. It was hot outside, but I was as relaxed as I could be. I've never worn a cooler or more breathable hunting outfit. If you're looking for a light and airy outfit, this is the one to go with.

Something about these pants isn't quite right, and I'm not sure what it is. Zips on the sides? Extra weight for the sake of peace of mind? I haven't decided yet. In terms of functionality, these pants have pretty much everything you could want. The pattern is fantastic, and they've gotten through a lot of snags and scrapes while still looking brand new. They have kneepad pockets but no kneepads, making them ideal for scrambling. They aren't designed for winter, but with a layer of insulation and a rain cover (no DWR coating), they should be fine. Personally, I'd choose a thicker material. (For colder or alpine conditions, I wear Kuiu attack pants. ).

They're a good fit, a little tighter than my Sitka mountain pants in the same size, but not uncomfortable. They're light and airy, and they're perfect for summer. Drying time is also short.

You can't go wrong with SITKA; it's light and airy, making it ideal for early-season hunting when the weather is still pleasant. Extremely long lasting. The only drawback is that they run true to size in terms of fit, so if you don't like your clothes fitted, go up a size. I'm 5'9", so I went with the tall, and I'm glad I did.

Great pants, but go up a size! They run small; I normally wear a 34 in jeans and ordered a 36, which is still too small

However, the quality is excellent and the fit is excellent. I was hoping to layer these under Meath's for the fall, but I don't think I'd be able to.

The waistband is just a smidgeon too tight, and the inseam is a little too long. I'm 6'3" and don't think the tall is necessary. What's with the size and length? Aside from that, it's a fantastic pant.
