Questions & Answers
That's something I really need for my husband, because most of them end up right on his head.
Yes, you should wash your hands. My washer ruined mine, resulting in pills that were fuzzy.
The A205 isn't pictured because it doesn't roll up. A18 arrives on the scene. I wear the 205 under my hard hat during the winter.
I'm at a loss for words. Cathartt is the company that sells it. Believe it or not, a phony vendor will not sell under a trademarked name. Furthermore, it is not less expensive than 12-months' rent. The price of these beanies is usually around $15. br>I hope this information is useful!
Selected User Reviews For Carhartt Men's Acrylic Knit Hat A205
I'm a 6'4" man with a statue-like body from head to toe. So, after reading some reviews claiming that this hat fits large heads, I decided to give it a shot. The hat fits the top of my head but does not cover my ears, which I expect when I buy a hat, but it does not! This hat should be renamed "ONE SIZE FITS MOST," rather than "ONE SIZE FITS ALL. ".
I love it! It's exactly what I was looking for.
Nice hat, but I have a larger-than-average (okay, enormous) head with a lot of hair, and it tends to work its way up above my ears within minutes of wearing it. It's a constant struggle for me to keep it down. I have another one with a bottom "cuff" to keep it tighter around my ears, and it doesn't have the same issue. Aside from that, it appears to be well constructed and comfortable.
I'll quickly go over how this hat fits in comparison to other Carhartt hats so you know what to expect. This hat is not foldable and will fall halfway down your ears. Look at the A18 hat if you want something to cover your ears, fold up, and keep you warm. br>br>All right, let's get to the pros: br>br> The hat is quite warm and does a fantastic job of blocking out the wind. It's a lovely fall hat, but because it doesn't fully cover my ears, I wouldn't wear it in the winter. Earbuds or headphones worn beneath or above the hat will be comfortable regardless of the hat. With this hat, ear saver noise protection will be a tight fit. You will not be exposed to danger. If you need to remove the label, it's very simple to do so. The disadvantages are also straightforward: br>br> Handwashing the hat is required; otherwise, it will shrink and pill. Please read what is written on the label. Because the hat retains moisture and does not ventilate well, you may become sweaty, and the sweat will absorb into the hat, causing even more sweat. Because of the hat's moisture-wicking properties, it smells easily, so clean it frequently if you're active. In rare situations, I've felt the hat ride up my head and loosely hold on; I have a big head, but be aware. Advantages: br>br> Looks nice, is inexpensive, is warm for the fall season, has a removable label, and works well with headphones, earbuds, and ear protection. br>br>Cons: Handwash only to avoid pilling and shrinkage; it absorbs moisture and sweat and can ride up your neck. br>br>This is a fall hat that covers your ears halfway down; if you want a hat that covers your ears completely and is warmer, get the A18.
The girl's version isn't nearly as soft or as long as the boy's version. br>br>This men's hat is extremely comfortable and well-made. Purchase this hat as soon as possible. You'll fall in love with it and want to wear it every day, just like I do. (It also looks amazing with my hair, which I adore. ).
For the price, this is a good beanie that will keep you warm in most weather. The dark blue one is what I bought. I wear a size 7 hat. It's 25 years old, and it's still in good shape. It's suitable for temperatures as low as 30°F. Fairly strong winds begin to blow around the 20s with wind chill. For the remainder of winter 2013, I've decided to invest in a thicker Carhartt beanie. 14 weather in northern New Jersey, as well as forecasts for the coming winters If you don't expect temperatures below 30 degrees, however, this should suffice; it's well-made, reasonably priced, and does the job in most situations. br>br>Updated on February 13, 2015: I just went for a walk outside in 12 degree Fahrenheit (0 degrees with the wind-chill factor) for about an hour. With this beanie, you can relax and unwind. In such conditions, I usually wear a thicker Kinkaid beanie, but I wanted to see how this one would fare. It turned out to be fine. I would have preferred to wear my Kinkaid beanie, but even with the wind, this kept my head warm enough. I might wear this beanie more frequently for the sake of simplicity (by the way, the Carhartt label is no longer on my hat; it's only there for aesthetics and brand recognition). Even in the dead of winter, it's not bad, especially for the price. br>br>Update February 16, 2015: I just got back from another walk (this one lasted about an hour and a half). Outside temperature is 9 degrees Fahrenheit (with a wind chill of -5 degrees Fahrenheit). Today's wind was stronger than it had been in the previous few days. I also noticed that this beanie was not designed for this type of weather. It was bearable, but I wished I had a more substantial hat. So, for the time being, I'm going to stick with the Kinkaid beanie. However, as I stated in my original post, if the temperatures do not drop below the 30s, this beanie should suffice. Below that, you might want to think about wearing something heavier or wearing a hood.
The material, on the other hand, is durable but not particularly warm. Beanies are only about two inches long and not at all roomy or long, which is essential when it's cold outside. In terms of warmth, I give them a six out of ten. br>Excellent construction and patturn. If you really need to stay warm, this isn't the place to be. Excellent for punks from the West Coast. People who live in the mountains or who are exposed to the cold are immune to the cold.
