I don't have this exact hat (though I'm about to order one), but I've always machine-washed similar hats and they've held up well (maybe a little fading/wear over time, but oh well, gotta wash). However, just let it air dry. If you're going to dry it, say your goodbyes first.
Probably not; it's comfortable, but I'm not sure it'll pass military dress code.
I have both, though I'm not sure if they're from the same manufacturer. The strap, however, is my favorite.

On a small head, the good equals soft and appealing. br>br>The drawback is that the description claims it fits from 7 1/8 to 8 1/8 inches. 7 1/2 is an erroneous figure. If you wear those sizes, it will cover your head, but if you are taller than 21 3/8 inches, it will completely distort and lose its shape. I'm 22. All charts list a size of 5 inches as being within the range. If your head measures more than 21 3/8 inches in circumference, you should purchase a different hat.
Quality far exceeds my expectations. It was also presented in a beautiful manner. It wasn't squished down like some other hats have been. It came in a big plastic bag in a big box, with a plastic molded insert in the main body of the hat to keep it from getting squashed. That insert almost seems like overkill, given how rigid the hat is already. I received the green, which is exactly what I was looking for. Also, it's a perfect fit. This book comes highly recommended.
br>Because it's a smaller hat, I have to let the adjustment strap out to the last possible amount the buckle will allow, and the hat moves all over my head, so I have to adjust the hat or strap or strap or hat all the time. br>It shouldn't be this difficult to put these things on. br>I wish I had my old hat back!.
COMFORTABLE is a word that comes to mind when thinking about this product. IT CAN BE ADJUSTED The army green military caps and the black washed cotton cap were both ordered. They are both a perfect fit. Very adjustable and comfortable. Women's caps were a little too small for me (too short in length and not providing enough face coverage). Both caps are in good condition. My earlobes are perched on the very edge of my skull. The brims provide just enough coverage for the face. The caps keep my hair secure even when I wear it down in a low/high ponytail. br>br>They aren't perfectly stitched, but they work fine and the flaws are hard to notice. Because they're made of washed cotton, they'll give you a laid-back vibe. I'll be wearing these to run errands on Saturdays when I don't feel like doing my hair!.
I really like this hat and may purchase the black one; however, where the brim meets the material on one side, it kind of sticks out even when it's tight, and I tried to crease it to fold it in, but it could just be this hat in particular; however, it's a good quality hat.
It's not bad, but the adjustment band has to be completely open in order for it to fit over my head. The hat will not fit if my hair grows any longer. br>br>While that may appear to be a joke, it is not. br>br>Right now, I have a shaved head, so the hat would not fit if I had hair. So it's one size fits all, which is technically correct, but it's right on the money; to be fair, it's a low-cost item, so I wasn't expecting a perfect fit just putting it out there. If you have a big head, this is the best option for you.
I have another Fidel style cap that has served me well for many years, but I've had trouble finding another one that fits well and that I enjoy wearing, but doesn't have any branding that I don't want to see every time I put on a hat. br>br>This cap, in a sense, fits the bill; It's simple to adjust, and I like how the strap slides back into place to hide it when not in use. br>br>It isn't particularly warm, but I wasn't expecting it given that I wear fleece hats in the winter.
