It can be stretched, to be sure. It can be worn by a man, a woman, or a child.
I bought one for my girlfriend as a Christmas present, and she likes it because it keeps her ears warm and prevents them from freezing.
Because I have a smaller head, I'd assume it varies by age? I'm guessing it's between the ages of 8 and 12.
I don't think so, because the cap bill will obstruct things. However, I believe it is thin enough to be worn UNDER the hat.

It would have been nice if it had a Velcro on the back for adjustment, but it kept my ears nice and warm otherwise. warm. I'm always in a tony tail, so a simple wrap around was all I needed. It has a delicate texture. There were no issues with sizing. This item worked well for me because I have a small head and it stayed in place without any problems. The cost is extremely reasonable. Yes, I would suggest it.
This headband/ear warmers made all the difference when I went for a run. In the winter, I avoid running outside because my ears become extremely achy, and I believe this causes me to become ill. Near the end of the run, I realized that this was the best winter outdoor running experience I'd ever had. During the winter, this item is ideal for any outdoor activity.
I've been looking for something like this for a long time. In Texas, the winter gear I see in sporting goods stores is never really cold enough. This is ideal for those chilly early morning breezes. I get a lot of exercise outside, mostly in the form of cross-fit activities. These are secure and stay in place, but they don't bother me. It comes highly recommended.
My husband is always hot, and with the air conditioning set to 78 degrees and the ceiling fan and regular fan blowing on us, my ears are always cold.
I haven't had it long enough to give it a rating based on actual use of the headband, and winter hasn't arrived in "sunny southern California," but I wanted to make sure I had something to cover my ears with when it did, because the wind in this part of California blows like a banshee coming home to roost, and I get very cold when I'm out walking for the exercise that the Doctors recommend. This headband will go a long way toward keeping my ears warm, and there are also thermal socks, underwear, and gloves for the rest of my body. I like ear muffs and was looking for them when I came across these, and while I really like them, I thought this might be a good alternative for the winter chills.
It does its job and keeps my ears warm when I'm running or working out in the cold. It stays in place nicely, and I'd say I have a typical female head size. I like that it isn't too tight. When I'm running, I don't want to feel like it's actually there; I just want my ears to be warm, not my head squished as well!.
I've never thought of myself as having a small head, but this is a tad too big. I'm concerned that it won't stay put while I'm running. It's a soft, thin fleece. On a moderately cold day, I believe it would be adequate, but not on a 0° day.
