I traveled with all five of them in checked luggage. Only two of the five were able to complete the task. One had gone completely missing. Only one wire remained attached to the bag (along with the yellow name tag). The screw connection caused the wire to separate. That's probably what happened to the one who went missing completely. I've had no problems with similar type nametags made of stainless wire, one of which I've had for over ten years and still use. This was a huge letdown, and I'm going to have to replace the rest because I don't think they'll still be on the luggage if it gets lost.
Very high-quality product. br>I was hesitant to order these tags for two reasons: 1) Some reviews claimed that the rubber material was translucent, allowing your personal information to show through, but this was not the case with the ones I received. 2) Defective metal loops have been mentioned in a few reviews. The ones that came with mine were all of excellent quality, and there was even an extra one, which I thought was a nice touch. br>br>According to some reviews, matching the visible area in the window with the name written on the card was difficult, so I did the following to make it easier: Remove the cover made of plastic. Trace the window area onto the card with a pencil so that when you pull the card out to write your information, you'll know which area will be visible and can place all of your information in the appropriate spot. The pencil mark can then be erased before being reinserted into the rubber tag.
This is a poorly designed product; I double-checked the installation on my suitcases and they still came off easily, leaving me with a missing suitcase. Any other item will almost certainly work better.
Before the first transfer, all three of them had broken. Compression clamps on the metal cable pull apart, causing the tags to fall off. Although these tags are attractive, they are ineffective. When they fall off in an airplane or baggage terminal, it's difficult to get them back.
To see the tag's owner's name and contact information, it must be completely disassembled. The phone number is the only thing that is visible.
With the bright red luggage tag on my bag, I can easily find it in an airport. Does the job, and the cutout window is the perfect size for my business card. It displays my personal phone number as well as my office phone number. Purchase some blue thread locker gunk for yourself as a favor. To keep the screw clasp from unscrewing, dab a drop of oil on it before tightening it. This is the first time I've done it, and none of them have come loose.
So far, we've been very pleased with them. They are both soft and strong. The cable ties are a nice touch because they secure some of the jacket's more sensitive information. While it's attached to the suitcase, your name is the only thing that can be seen. Someone would have to take the time to unscrew the cable tie in order to see everything else. The longevity of these items will be determined over time, but they appear to be long-lasting. br>br>My only reservation is that it appears that you must physically inspect the cable tie after each use to ensure that it is still tight. Some of the threads have become loose, which is easily fixed by re-threading them. the tightening To keep the threads from coming loose, I'm thinking about putting a drop of loctite or nail polish on them. br>br>Overall, we're pleased with our purchase and plan to order a few more.
These luggage tags are exactly what I was hoping for. Not the plastic ones that get caught on something and break, but silicon with a great wire connector. When everyone's luggage looks the same, this bright color will catch your eye on the belt. They also only display your name, with no other personal information available to prying eyes. br>I'm afraid that because the connectors are so small, they may not unlatch after a while, and corrosion may be an issue, but I can't guarantee that this will be the case, and in any case, they're still attractive and useful for identifying your luggage; they just won't be interchangeable. For the price, it's not a big deal to me; I'll just get more.
