This luggage is of poor quality. My pants come with nicer zippers. The product's 10-year warranty means nothing after six uses because one of the zippers simply came off with no stress on the zipper at all. They will not stand behind their product, and Swissgear will no longer sell it due to its poor quality. They make you jump through hoops before telling you they won't stand behind their product; I was promised a refund, but instead received luggage I didn't want or need. After several attempts, they have yet to respond. DO NOT BUY ANY SWISSGEAR, AS THE QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ARE HORRIBLE.
Some of the negative reviews mentioned zipper problems, and I've had a zipper break on a different bag before. It's inconvenient, so I put a strap around my bags on a regular basis; This is how I did it. I wore one suit, one pair of dress pants, two dress shirts, two formal dresses, and one small sweater and had no problems. 1 shawl on hangers, as well as a few small items such as ties, socks, and underwear There was still space, but I didn't want to overcrowd it (it weighed only 32 pounds when it was full). There was no need to iron anything. The purse appears to be in good condition. Handles with ease. I've only used it twice so far, and both times it failed to make my connecting flight. The airline delivered it to me in perfect condition the following day. It appeals to me and I believe it is a good investment.
It's sturdy, ***roomy***, and easy to transport. It has enough room for two floor-length ballgowns, shoes, and accessories. The bag's sturdy construction and reinforced pockets and zippers at this price point were the lynchpin in this case, despite the fact that it is definitely a checked piece. br>At the moment, my only real concern is moisture resistance (checked ballgowns raining on tarmac = instant headaches), so I'll be looking for a luggage slicker to go with this purchase. br>***This page will be updated after the first use***.
This was purchased for my husband, who travels with a number of vintage three-piece suits. We overloaded it with five heavy suits, as well as shirts and other items. I was taken aback by how well they all fit together. Some of them were wrinkled from being crammed in there so tightly. My husband's only gripe was that the wheels did not spin in a 360-degree circle.
The bag's sturdiness and maneuverability are excellent. It's amazing how smoothly the wheels roll. Almost everywhere, there are pockets. The two inside corner zipper pockets are the reason for four stars rather than five. Because a small section of each pocket is located slightly beneath another area of the bag where there is no "give" to make zipping easier, it is difficult to zip and unzip. I'd like the bag to be a little lighter in weight as well. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. (Actually, I bought two at the same time. ) Nothing is perfect, after all.
It's quite spacious and will hold enough clothes for a week's vacation. The telescoping handle is nice, the zipper is sturdy, and the material is heavy. This is a good middle-of-the-road garment bag, in my opinion.
First and foremost, I have not yet used this bag, so my observations are based solely on my initial inspection. I am very pleased for the money. Before ordering, I read some reviews that said it didn't appear to be sturdy enough to withstand the abuse of airline baggage handlers. Perhaps not if you travel on a weekly basis. However, I only fly a few times a year and find it to be quite sturdy. It has a lot of storage space and can hold a lot of things. It was purchased to supplement what we already have for long trips, and it will easily hold enough for one person for more than a week. I am very pleased with the bag in general. Of course, the true test will come after it has been put to use. I'll update my review if it doesn't hold up as well as I had hoped. But, in reality, no bag can withstand the abuse of airline baggage handlers for an extended period of time without showing signs of wear and tear. I've had much more expensive bags that didn't work out, and this one appears to be just as well made, if not better.
Enough space. I took a week-long trip that included several international flights. My world had been taken over- The gold standard luggage competition's traveled bag- This Swiss Gear was half the price, and it was fighting for my business. My old bag wheels had worn out and I was unable to replace them - after more than a hundred trips around the world br>br>The design appeals to me. All of the items are of excellent quality. I don't overpack, but I also don't travel light, so this is a great size for me. br>br>The only difficult part is folding the bag in half. I came up with a brilliant solution to make it work for me. You can't be a gorilla when it comes to zippers - They're tough, but they're not invincible. There were no problems, and the quality easily matched that of my other, much more expensive bags, of which I own several. And I'm a picky traveler, so I'm glad I chose this one.
