4Monster Hiking Daypack,Water Resistant Lightweight Packable Backpack for Travel Camping Outdoor

For the past two weeks, I've been telling my wife how great of a deal this was for a small day pack while traveling through Indonesia. It has now substantiated its awesomeness and long-term viability. I went to the sacred monkey forest in Ubud, Bali, and had a monkey try to rip it open three times with his razor sharp teeth, but the little guy couldn't even scratch it. Don't even consider buying it; just go ahead and buy it! Proof can be seen in the photo! Enjoy!.

This is a fantastic set. I had a Mission Peak Gear Fast2100 foldable pack that was great and very affordable, but it was a little big at 30L, so I didn't stow it in other larger bags, and it wasn't great for a regular daypack. I ended up giving it to my father and replacing it with an 18L Gregory for planned hikes close to home. But there was still a hole for overnight backpacking trips, where I usually set up camp early in the afternoon and have time to explore my surroundings before dinner. This 4monster is PERFECTLY suited for that scenario. To begin with, it folds up into a TINY stuff sack and weighs next to nothing. When deployed, however, it's the perfect size for snacks, a puffy or rain jacket (or both), a water bottle, and the Sawyer water filter system. I recently returned from Aloha Lake in the Desolation Wilderness near Tahoe, where I spent each day hiking for an hour or two at a fast pace and filtering water to bring back to camp. I toss a seat pad (that I carry on backpacking trips anyway) halfway unfolded in the back of this little pack to give it some structure, but it's fine without. When I see other folding daypacks from brands like Matador, I can't believe anyone would pay that much for one when this one is so cheap. The few negative reviews that claim it's too small are clearly from people who aren't familiar with backpacks, as the capacity and dimensions are clearly stated in the description, so I knew exactly what I was getting. It was also exactly what I had hoped for. This is something I would strongly recommend to anyone going backpacking or traveling who would benefit from having a daypack on hand.

I bought a 16L in A- size. It's orange in color and a perfect Camelbak MULE knockoff. The material is, of course, very thin because it is a packable backpack. I try to be careful when rolling it back up because I'm afraid it'll rip, but as you can see in my photo, I took it on a hike and it was fine! It's big enough to hold a lot of stuff without being too bulky. It held my wallet, sunglasses case, snacks, a 32 oz Takeya water bottle, and my UNIQLO Reversible Jacket, as seen in the photo. This foldable backpack is one of my favorites. I would strongly suggest it.

We're using it to avoid bag checks at every park and monorail hotel during our Disney World vacation. br>It attaches to your belt loop (mini carabiner sold separately), and we'll use it to stuff our pockets and transport our water bottles. Unlike the Sea to Summit packable, this bag has a variety of compartments. It also has two side compartments for water bottles, as opposed to only one on the Osprey Stuff Pack. br>The mesh straps are sufficiently wide. Not in the least bit uneasy. The only thing I think it's missing is a chest strap, but given the size, I'm not sure it would be any better with one. br>It stuffs back into the bag very easily, with a three-way zipper. fold it in half lengthwise br>Although the tag does not say "CORDURA," be aware that 30D Nylon is a CORDURA fabric. Don't be fooled by the fact that CORDURA fabric feels like it could be used to make reusable grocery bags. It's the same material that's used to make tents. For what we need it to do, it appears to be very long-lasting. br>I wouldn't fill it with heavy items, but it's perfect for general hiking/traveling needs. br>Right now, we have (2 stainless tumbler straws, 2 ponchos, 3oz. Sunscreen, an Advil tube, and a two-pack of cigarettes 9oz water bottles, umbrella, lightning cord and cube, wipes pack, spare undies and shorts for two)br>The 16L fits perfectly and looks great on my 6' 2" son. br>With just the water bottles inside, it hangs a little funny when it's empty (see photo), but it's perfect when the inside is in use. br>Wow, especially for the price! It is impossible to make a mistake. br>This is definitely going on my "stocking stuffer" gift list.

Great packable backpack that is light and easy to carry. This was intended to be a small daypack that could be easily stowed when not in use. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how compact it was. I unfolded it and worried that it wouldn't be big enough for my needs, but once I packed everything I needed, it was perfect. I packed a small 10. I carried a 5 inch laptop in a padded carrier, a rain jacket, a small umbrella in one of the mesh pockets, and a 28oz water bottle in the other mesh pocket. I've been using this bag several times a week since I received it, and the material is quite durable. It's a little see-through, and it's extremely thin, with no padding or structure. That, however, was unnecessary for me. For a laptop or anything else fragile, I would recommend using a padded case; the straps are not padded, though they appear to be, and are made of a mesh material that is very comfortable. I really like the color; it's the same dark grey as in the picture.

It's light, but the material is see-through, which isn't ideal for concealing valuables in your backpack, such as a camera. Also, if you put any weight in the backpack, the straps may not be as comfortable as they appear - There is no padding on them, and they are 1. Because it's 5" wide, the weight isn't distributed evenly across your shoulder. The construction appears to be of high quality - If you're looking for something light, this is it.
