Due to an emergency, I had to leave two days after I got the bag, so my packing was all over the place, and I actually overpacked a bit in my hurry Everything I normally carry in my messenger bag fits in this, plus a little bit extra, on top of the regular TSA approved liquid carry on The one pocket I had was nearly empty, but I have one for my laptop and two large zip sections, the outer pocket you use for pens, plus two other thin pockets, plus all of the interior pockets, slots, two bottle holders on either side, and there is more. It is the only thing I wish I had brought instead of my messenger bag for this trip. I lost a bottle of water during a flight change it slipped out of the side bottle pocket, but this bag was great for the trip and I may give my messenger bag up My only suggestion would be to put something inside the water bottle pocket to aid in the retrieval of bottles. It's great that the bag has a padded compartment for my 17 inches laptop, yet still leaves room for other stuff I need to take to One side pocket fits my insulated matching glass, and the other can fit my insulated coffee mug. I still have space for my purse, lunch bag, and various other items I carry with me all the time. Having the padded wide straps means your shoulders won't hurt no matter how much weight you add to the bag. It was part of the Prime Day Sale at a fantastic price, what's not to like. The closet is much bigger than I expected, and I can actually put in a change of clothing and extra shoes in it.
I love you with all my heart. As I often travel overseas, I want a backpack that is big enough to hold all my belongings. The bag has an adjustable strap on the back, so I can slip it onto my handle of my roller suitcase and it rides smoothly on my carry-on bag. There are numerous pockets and zip-up In my travels, I usually use an older "regular" campus backpack. I recently replaced it with this new backpack. It was only the fabric thickness/feel that I liked better about my old one. As for the straps, they are less comfortable than those on the regular campus backpack. The XL is also slightly scratchy. In addition to that, the XL slouches a bit in the center where the older one stays upright. As a breast cancer awareness pattern, I didn't realize it was also for this design. It's a bonus!.
