It is true. As far as I can tell, the sizing is correct. If you want to be sure, you might want to take a tape measure. The set is a big hit with my daughter. A soft and comfortable material.
As far as size is concerned, these do fit perfectly. The chart indicated that my daughter would need a large size after measuring her. Her age is 29 as well, just like you. She dislikes it because it doesn't fit her perfectly, neither too tight nor too loose. This should be of some help

My very thin and tall 10 year old (60 lbs) refuses to wear any other bra than a sports bra, so I purchased the 7/8 sizes. She has been able to wear those for most sessions, but dressier outfits with scooped necklines have proven to be problematic. There were five different stores that we visited- kept a pair of thin strapless bras and a pair of non-padded bras There is nothing more uncomfortable than a racerback silhouette with a band on every single one of them, whether it be cotton, a mix of fabrics, elastic, etc. I searched for a bra that had no tags or a bandless design and found It seems like 7/8s fit her pretty well, which means she has enough space to grow (I feel they run large, but she is thin and tall and this is a problem for us in general). She said these bras do not feel constricting on her and she did not have any problems with them. It has already been worn for a whole day without any complaints. As far as I can tell, they are working, but I am unsure how they will endure. These won't be supportive anymore when she matures, but they can serve as a "training bra" when she wants a tad more coverage under thin shirts, tanks with wide armholes, and a full-cup that doesn't restrict her movement as much. It is overkill to wear a cami tank this long.
I like how soft it is and how spandexy it is. Because the intended recipient (my daughter) is refusing to try it on, I am unable to ascertain how it will fit. As soon as I opened the package she turned around and walked away We do not plan to discuss the item face-to-face.

We had a really hard time finding a bra/sports bra that my kid liked and that felt comfortable for her because she is 11. We purchased these from Target, but she really loves them much more than the ones we got from there. I disagree with the fact that bras do not come with adjustable straps. The human body is not the same for everyone. Although the straps are a little longer than we would like, they do not move off her shoulders, so it seems to be fine. The only thing that can make these better is to add adjustable clips.

While we keep the set because we need it, one of the shirts went straight to the trash before being worn. Putting them in a delicate bag before adding them to the machine is a good idea.
