Big boys.
My 7-year-old son normally wears a size 2 shoe, but I ordered him a size 3 pair of these boots, which he loves.
They aren't at all cumbersome. My 8-year-old son adores his new boots.
There is no such thing as a size seven!! This is absurd; an age group is not the same as a size! 7, 7. 5, 8, 8. Sizes 5, 6, 7, and so on.

I'll list the advantages and disadvantages in this order: Advantages: br>br> br>Well madebr>Appearance is nicebr>Dark colors hide mud stainsbr>Foot bed fits as expectedbr>br>Cons: br>The boot's top is narrow and constricting. My wide-footed son has trouble putting these boots on, especially when he's doing outdoor Wisconsin winter activities with thicker socks. If your child's feet are normal or smaller in size, these boots will most likely fit. If your child's feet are wider, another boot might be a better option.
This boot is fantastic! On a recent trip to Yosemite National Park, my 10-year-old son wore these. They kept his feet warm and dry in the snow and rain, and he was able to hike for over 20 miles in them - With ease, you can even cover icy patches. Remove the liner each night after use to allow the boots to air out and get rid of any moisture that may have become trapped between the boot and liner down towards the toe box.
Every year, I purchase these for my children. They last a long time and I can usually find them for under $30 after the winter season on Amazon, Backcountry, or moosejaw. After each winter, I purchase new snow boots and bibs/pants for the following year. br>br>I can usually sell the old ones for about ten dollars at a thrift store, so I'm only spending about twenty dollars on these. Walmart is asking around $30 for off-brand garbage that doesn't last. br>br>Kids like them because they are simple to put on and take off, and they say their feet don't get cold, which is important because we live in Wisconsin, where winters are harsh. I'll keep buying them as long as they're available.
Such a letdown. My older son (10 years old) was able to use the same boot for two years. I ordered it for my 10-year-old and 3-year-old children once more. My daughter's feet are average to slightly wider. He's not so obnoxious that he won't wear anything else. However, after they arrived today, we attempted to try them on. He can't get his foot into the boot because it's too tight at the top. I ordered his shoe size and no matter how hard I tried, it would not fit. They appear to be very cute. He adores the bright blue, which he wears with a matching jacket. I'm extremely dissatisfied with this outcome. North Face should have a better design for its price and quality.
I normally wear a size 6 1/2, so I ordered a 7 in case they ran small. However, the 7 is just a tad too big. They're still on my feet, and I'm still in love with them! I'd say the extra space would be ideal for a pair of warm wool socks, but I'm afraid that would make my feet TOO warm and sweaty! That's how toasty and comfortable these boots are. I'm not sure how long they'll last, but the craftsmanship is of high quality, so I expect them to last a long time.
When we first had a crazy snow day this past winter, I bought these boots for my 11-year-old son. I first saw these boots on Amazon, but they were going to take a long time to arrive, even with Prime, because everyone seemed to want them. So I went to Dick's Sporting Goods and bought my son a pair because we were in desperate need of them. I was so taken with the boots that I tried on my son's and discovered that while they felt great on the inside, they were too big for my feet. I eventually went back to Amazon and bought myself a pair. I'm 30 years old and have smaller feet, so a size 5 was ideal; the width is also ideal, with nothing too tight; and the boot is one that you can slip on and off quickly if necessary, rather than having to force your foot into a pair of Bearpaw boots. They are extremely durable in the winter. This is unquestionably a winter boot. These last for yearssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.
These boots run a little small, which could be due to the thick lining. I purchased a size 4 Big Boy for my grandson. He normally wears a size 4, but he struggled to put these on and then remove them. He was on his toes until the very last moment. Because you didn't have any larger sizes, I had to reorder from somewhere else. I ordered a size 6 for him, and they are perfect. As a result, order one size up from your child's shoe size.
They arrived promptly, with excellent packaging. They were an instant hit with my son. He's worn them a few times now and hasn't expressed any dissatisfaction. I like how the boots are sleek rather than loud, heavy, and clumsy like some children's winter boots. True, the boot is a little narrow at the top, and I can see how it would be difficult for some children to get their feet inside, but my son has no such issues. If my son steps into deep snow during recess, I believe this feature will help keep the snow out!.
