Questions & Answers

How do they stack up against the Newport H2?

The soles of the Keen Seacamps have less rubber than the soles of the Newport H2, making them lighter and more flexible.

Are these sturdy enough to wear to preschool, the playground, or on a tricycle? They resemble water shoes. ?

This item is extremely durable. The daily routines of my 19-month-old and 3-year-old. to shoes! We've bought a lot of Keens over the years.

Is gargoyle a particular color? Is it a tan or a grey color?

I'm not sure what color I ordered, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't this one. I'm guessing it's black and white.

Will a 9-year-old girl in a size 3 fit in this?

Yes, I understand that shoe sizes in girls are the same up to a size three. I'm not sure if girls' shoe sizes change at 4, 5, or 6, but size 3 is the same for both boys and girls. Despite the fact that some people claim the Keens run small, I've always ordered my son's size. I hope this information is useful.

Is it possible to get away with it? HEAVY USE ON THE FIRST DAY! I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so in this case
3/5

When they first arrived two days ago, I was very excited about them and was pleased to discover that they fit our child perfectly. The wear on these after just ONE DAY of use (indoors all day at daycare) is horrendous! The blue on the toebox had rubbed off a lot, the blue on the treds is almost completely worn off and now purple, and the blue on the sides of the shoes has worn off and PINK is showing through in a few places! This was after my child had worn them all day at daycare, all indoors. I'm not sure if this is typical of Keen (or if these are knockoffs?) quality. ) but it's inexcusable in my opinion, and they'll be returned the next day! Beware!.

We like to put our kids in Keen sandals because they're durable and easy to clean, and they're better than the Newport
4/5

We used to get them Keen Newport sandals, but they were on sale this time, so we went with the Seacamp sandals, which I prefer much more. My toddler seemed to have a lot more fun running in them because the sole is slightly slimmer and more flexible. I would choose the Seacamps unless the Newports are significantly less expensive. br>br>However, I would point out that the toddler sizes of both sandals are a little narrow. For my son, we always have to go up a size, and he always outgrows the width before the length of the shoe fills out.

Love is amazing
5/5

Because you get WAY! I always buy my kids' "summer" shoes in the middle of winter and their "winter" shoes in the middle of summer. Better deals I always measure their feet first and then buy a half size to a whole size UP from what their feet measure, and it's never failed me yet; they always get to wear them through the season and then part of the next (for example, these summer Sandals, my daughter will wear them this summer and then part of next summer before completely growing out of them, and she'll use them as back ups since they get new pairs every year) and I LOVE it. They have excellent non-slip traction, which is essential for my daughter because we go hiking and camping frequently. They're also great for when we're fishing because if she gets her feet wet, it's no big deal because they dry quickly and there are no blisters! Because this sandal has good padding all the way around every edge. With keen, you can't go wrong. You can't even tell she still has room to grow. I never buy them so big that they make my kids look silly in them, or that they have trouble walking or clumping on their feet. I only give them about a half inch of growing room, which is what is recommended when getting your kids fitted for shoes in the first place. When measuring a person's foot for growing room, it's always recommended to buy a half inch larger than what they're currently measuring. And I love doing it this way because it allows me to get a head start on getting ready for summer so I don't feel overwhelmed and unprepared when it arrives. The same goes for winter, which is even worse because they can't go outside barefoot or without coats and boots because it's too cold.

Summer sandals for kids that are the best
5/5

Keens are my absolute favorite. Keens are one of my favorite shoes. My son's Keens are his second pair. I buy them in a size large enough for him to wear for two summers. Because the straps are adjustable, they stay on well even if they are a little big the first summer. They're practical, with a closed toe that protects against stubbing toes and, best of all, they're machine washable. br>The first summer with my son's last pair, we had no odor issues. They did begin to stink the second summer, but I was able to easily fix that. Soak them for a few minutes in white vinegar. After that, sprinkle baking soda into the sandals without rinsing off the vinegar. Allow for a few minutes before tossing them in the washing machine (with the vinegar and baking soda still attached). Wash on a regular cycle, then hang to dry. We had no odor for the rest of the summer after doing that once, and they were still holding up beautifully. br>I believe the sizing is correct. They're pricey, but if you use them for a couple of summers, they'll be well worth it. Keens is a brand that we adore.

Great shoes, but I needed to go up a size
5/5

These shoes have a really nice look to them. I bought two pairs for our three-year-old twin boys, and today is the first day they've worn them, so I can't say how well they'll hold up just yet, but Keens are known for their durability, so I'm confident these will be as well. I was taken aback by how small they were. Every other pair of shoes we have for the boys is a size 7 (toddler) - They are not yet able to wear a size 8, but the 7s were far too small for them. These shoes in size 8 appear to fit the same as the rest of our size 7s. The velcro strap itself is the only other oddity for me. Because it goes through a loop, it's a little more difficult to pull it tight than most, but I'm hoping that will ease up with time. Other than those two minor issues, I'm very happy with these shoes and would highly recommend them. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> After a year, I'm upgrading to the next size. Both boys enjoy wearing the shoes, which have held up well and appear to be very comfortable. That said, I'm now purchasing a size 9 in these shoes, despite the fact that all of our other footwear is a size 8 (8. 5 max). All other size 9 shoes are currently too large for the boys, and only these shoes in a size 8 are too small for them. You should be very happy with these shoes as long as you adjust the size.

I ADORE THEM ( This is an adult woman
5/5

They were purchased by me. I prefer this pair to the Venice H2 because it is more comfortable (light, flexible, and close to the ground), and my feet love it! Sizing: I am a size 7 woman. In street shoes, a 5 (European 38) is a good score. I needed a size 6 Big Kid in these (anything smaller would have been too small). They're a little barefooted. br>br> They're not barefoot to the point of feeling every pebble, so they're probably not for people who need a lot of arch support. and they do have a cushioned feel to them). I wouldn't hike in them (I wouldn't hike in ANY pair of sandals) because they're likely to get pebbles and/or sand inside, but I do wear them on a regular basis (walks, around the house, out). They'll probably be a little hot in extremely hot weather (due to the fact that they're a little closed for sandals).
