It was worn by my daughter in upstate New York during the winter. It starts to get chilly. I'm not sure if it's colder in there than in Chicago, but it was a nice warm coat.
Not fleece, but the same fabric as the outside. It's a thick, warm jacket. I found it to be of good quality, not cotton-like, and I hope that this information is useful.
All I know is that it has a large size.
I'm not sure why there's a size difference, but I bought a size 5 for my granddaughter last year and she's still wearing it this year. It's a high-quality coat with a sophisticated appearance. So, my recommendation is to get it in the size that you require because it is well-made and long-lasting.

My daughter is 45" tall and 5 years old, so I ordered a size 6/7, which will fit her perfectly in November. Excellent quality and looks very warm!.
line cut. We purchased this coat for our four-year-old daughter, who is tall and weighs about 50 pounds and has a 24" waist and a 25" chest. We chose the 9/10 because it was nice and long and had enough room for more than one winter. It was exactly what I was looking for! She usually wears a 7/8 in pants, but that size is too long for her. The coat is long enough to cover her knees, has plenty of room, and the sleeves aren't too long. We got a lot of snow the day it arrived in the mail, so we zipped it up over her snow pants and sent her out to try it out. She was literally sweating under her coat after 20 minutes because it was so hot! The temperature was 19 degrees Fahrenheit, and there was a strong breeze. br>br>The attention to detail is incredible. On the inside of the coat, there is an elastic around the wrists that kept snow out when I wore it over gloves and will keep wind out as well. The hood is oversized, but it's a puffy-filled hood with a nice weight to it that didn't blow away in the wind! It's the first time I've had a coat hood that didn't need to be constantly retracted. The zipper is nice and big, and it zips up easily. It zips all the way up to the chin, keeping necks toasty. The cutest part is the hem line, which transforms her into a winter princess! br>br>This coat is well worth the money; it's well made, and it's our second coat from this designer. After two winters of use, she outgrew the previous one, which was still in excellent condition! Buy it in a large size and you'll be able to use it for two winters.
She insists on wearing this coat regardless of the weather! It's absolutely stunning! This is my second Richie House coat, and I adore it. I stated in the first coat that I would buy it again. After that, I came across this. It appears to be warm, and she admitted to being a little sweaty while wearing it in 35-degree weather. The LARGE hood is one of her favorite features. Wind would miss her face if it tried to blow. lol. To ensure that the coat lasts a long time, I purchase it in a larger size. In the coming years, I intend to purchase again. Unless there's a better coat out there.

This coat is absolutely stunning! The quality is excellent, and it appears to be one-of-a-kind and unlike anything else on the market. br>I have a nine-year-old daughter. I also got her a size 9 pair of shoes. It's a ten and it's perfect.
On my daughter, I adore this coat. It's both comfortable and fashionable. I ordered it a size too large, so she'll be able to wear it again next winter! Although the arms are a little long, this isn't a major flaw. br>br>Updated 3/19/16br>This coat was worn by my daughter again this winter, and it fit her much better. I've noticed two things: It irritates her when the belt comes undone. I usually just don't use it at all. Also, with this coat on, she won't be able to fit in her car seat. Apart from those minor flaws, I enjoy wearing the coat and would recommend it to others.
This coat appears to be cute in the Amazon photo, but it pales in comparison to how classically beautiful and sweet it appears on my three-year-old. br>I was blown away by her style, and she knows how to move around in it. I ordered it in a size larger than I needed, and it fits well. She'll be able to wear it well into the following season.
