We recommend size 9 for feet with a circumference of 6 inches. Because the smallest size for these shoes is a 10, we're afraid they'll be too big for your son.
I ordered a size 11 for my 6-year-old son and they fit perfectly. I carefully read the size chart and it was correct for me.
They fit like a glove and are true to size.
There is no way to remove the insole. You have the option of adding an insole.

This was my third try with this brand of soccer cleats. My son, who is ten years old, is a size six. I usually wear a size 5 in street shoes, so I went with a size 6. A five and a seven. I ordered a 6 in this shoe because the other two were too big. It was larger than the 6 in some way. We ultimately settled on the number six. 5 and putting him in thick socks because the season had begun and we were in a hurry. Even after three tries, I couldn't tell you what size we should have ordered in the first place. He's only worn them three times, but they appear to be holding up well for the price, and with a rapidly growing child, I'd like to continue to order from this company based solely on price, since we have to buy a new pair almost every season. But I'm not sure I'll do it because figuring out what size to order is such a pain.
I ordered a half-size larger, and they were enormous! They were returned, and I ordered a half size smaller, but they were still too big! I went back online to order a smaller size because they liked them so much, but the next size down was sold out! So I went to a big box store and purchased some for them. What's more, it's the same size as the one I had previously purchased and returned! A decent soccer cleat on the whole!.
These cleats are a good deal of fun to wear. My 6-year-old only wore them for a few minutes at a time during her tball games, and she never complained about how uncomfortable they were, but they squeaked every time she walked. The shoes are extremely narrow, so I don't think they'd work well with a wide foot. They have a plastic-like feel to them and could easily peel, but we haven't had that issue yet. They have lovely colors and appear to be more vibrant in person than in photographs.
These, according to my daughter, are both comfortable and well-made. They should last a long time and, above all, they're adorable!.
Even during some muddy games, the shoes stayed relatively clean. They appeared brand new after being washed. You can't say the same for a pair of high-priced Nikes. I'd recommend it!.
