They were just a tad on the large side. My daughter wore them through the indoor soccer season in a size 13 youth. In them, she has room to develop.
They're also very comfortable, almost waterproof until you get to the laces, and they last forever. I had mine for six years before replacing them a year ago. They are unrivaled in their field.
It's a pity it's not on the box. Make a 1-800 call to Adidas. 800- ADIDAS
They are true to size, and I am wearing a size 4. This is a size 12 for a 5-year-old boy.

They Are NOT What Is Shown. Changes to a well-loved product, which for generations of football players around the world were the best indoor/court/street football shoes, are one of the most vexing things that companies can do. The look is a hit with everyone. You purchased them in order for them to resemble your parents. You purchased them in order for them to resemble your friends. Parents bought small ones for their children to coo over as they prepare for their child to grow up to love football as much as they do. They're instantly recognizable and well-liked as a great indoor, court, or street football shoe. br>br>Instead, these shoes are NOT the classic version shown in the photos and described as White/Black/Gum or White/Black/White; they are not the classic style in the photo and do not fit either of the written descriptions. Rather than the traditional gum-sucking game, The sole used to be colored, but now it is black. The entire shoe has taken on a new appearance. like all- They look ridiculous and break my heart every time I see them, black ref shoes with small white spots. br>br>The only reason I'm keeping them is that I'm in desperate need of football shoes right now and have no idea what else is out there. Sigh. Unbelievable. br>br>.
Update: After purchasing a second pair from Amazon and a third pair elsewhere, I believe the two pairs I received from Amazon with hard black soles were likely authentic, but they were not the product being sold by Amazon. The pictures show the traditional brown flexible sole that sambas are known for, but the shoes I received from Amazon had a black hard rubber sole. The rating has been raised from one to two stars because it appears to be genuine, but it is still misleading. Please do not order a size 5. Unless you don't mind having a hard black rubber sole instead of a brown one. Original review: br>br> It doesn't appear to be genuine. I got a size 5 pair. 5 samba classic shoes (sold and shipped by Amazon, not a third-party seller), with a hard black sole when they arrived - unlike the samba's signature brown gum sole (shown on the product page). The shoes' black soles are completely rigid, making them unsuitable for indoor soccer (and honestly, even walking around in them). Furthermore, the show upper on the pair I received does not appear to be made of genuine leather. The photo shows the difference in sole color between the pair that arrived from a known authentic samba shoe (sandwiched between the pair being reviewed) and the video shows me flexing it (please ignore my exhales - I was trying hard). I had no idea it was recording sound until it was too late). In any case, I'm returning this pair because the sole is not at all what was advertised, even if the shoes themselves are authentic. Having said that, I've ordered a second pair to see if this was a one-off defective size 5 pair. 5 sambas, or if it's a recurring issue with the size 5. Amazon is currently offering 5 sambas for purchase.
I was thrilled to get these shoes because I haven't worn them since I was in fifth grade, and I'm now 34 years old. I couldn't wait to open the box and go back in time. When I did, I noticed the red Adidas logo on the tongue of the left shoe, which was correct. The tongue of the right shoe, on the other hand, was devoid of anything. The label should have been stitched on, but there was an empty rectangular outline where it should have been. I'm not sure if they're genuine or not, or what the deal is. I'm sorry, but I'm completely dissatisfied. I'm too preoccupied with other things to bother with returning them. I'm going to leave them alone. ugh. It's ridiculous.
I've worn Chuck Taylors, Vans, and other off-the-beaten-path sneakers. After much deliberation, I decided to try the Samba's. br>They are incredibly simple to put on his foot (I'd struggle for ten minutes). 15 minutes with shoes that properly go over the heel until these) and they stay tied throughout the day. They've also survived two weeks of Kindergarten boy play and are still looking brand new! Since he's been wearing these on a daily basis, he hasn't had a single complaint. br>br>They are true to size and even fit on wider feet without any problems. br>br>Will buy again without a doubt. We don't engage in any soccer-related activities. Sorry! This is, however, our second pair of sambas for the year. I'm eight years old. year- an older boy with a forefoot that is wider. We tried adidas because he couldn't wear Nikes because they were too narrow, and they worked perfectly. They're more forgiving and last for a longer period of time. Although the leather near the front of the shoe begins to wear, the overall construction is excellent. Regardless of how rough boys are on their shoes, the sambas' style and durability are incredible. They also have a nice appearance.

My most recent purchase, on the other hand, has left me completely dissatisfied and, to be honest, shocked. br>br>These shoes were only good for about three weeks! Three weeks is not an exaggeration! br>br>For one thing, the front began to scuff by the time my son returned home from the first day of wearing, but why the entire front of both shoes busted out after less than three weeks of regular wearing is beyond me; I can only assume that something very significant (and in a bad way) has changed in the manufacturing process, but the bottom line is that I can no longer recommend these to anyone. br>br>Don't sell these shoes! br>br>(original review)br>I purchased a size 2 that was far too large. My 6-year-old, on the other hand, was adamant about wearing them. Because they appear to be so sturdy, I decided to buy the size 1 as a replacement right away and store the size 2 until they can fit. br>br>At the age of six, my son is obsessed with fashion and has a keen sense of what is "nice. " My son adores the design and refuses to take them off, which says a lot about the shoe. br>br>I would recommend these shoes, and I will provide an update after he has worn them for a few months.
