Since I can't return the item after more than a month, it's been over a month since I received This is an utter waste of money and a dangerous undertaking.
Her feet are still a little big, but I don't think she'll need a full size. This pair of dance shoes fit well and have a decent grip. We are not professional dancers and use these shoes often. I would not count on a lot of wears. The febreze spray does have a bit of a chemical smell, but nothing outrageous or inescapable as those that were complained about in other reviews! Having them as part of her show made her very happy!.
The size 2 on these is much bigger than what is usual. Since my daughter has previously worn two other brands in size 2 during the theater season, these are at least 1/2 bigger than any others she has worn. In addition, there was a very strong chemical smell to the shoes, which took 3 days to get rid of before she was able to wear them.
My daughter was in the middle of the measurement range when I measured her feet. In this case, I went a size larger so that I could wear I am pleased to say that we received the shoes promptly and they were about half an inch larger than we expected. I was happy to see my daughter wearing her thicker soft socks since she can now wear them. It looks like a great pair of shoes, and she says they are comfortable as well. This is the perfect performance for her next one.
It's so dangerous to have the shoes in the house that they smell so strongly of chemicals. They smell like they're coming from across the room every time I tried to put them in the closet, and when I tried to put them in there, they completely stinked up the entire closet, and I almost got a headache. It's time for them to go back. If it smells that bad or that strong, it wouldn't be good to apply that to your skin.
The size of these things is huge! My son's feet measured out, so I ordered the shoes as per his measurements, and they're absolutely massive, as well as looking/feeling If you cannot find any shoes locally, do yourself a favor and get them from a local dance store.
They're a great deal for the price. I bought them for my son's camp performance. He's still learning how to dance in them, so he still doesn't do a lot of dancing in them. His comments about how comfortable they are and how they fit true to size are accurate. It may be because my son usually wears wider shoes they are slightly wide. There was no noticeable chemical smell, or at least not as strong as some reviewers have claimed. Is it possible that the batch is different?.
They were comfortable and were made with quality materials. Bought them for my daughter. In the future, when she needs a larger size, she will purchase this brand again.
