She has very narrow feet/ankles, and this is the only one that fits perfectly! Leather and neoprene make this the perfect jazz shoe. She normally does not wear jazz shoes, but says these are "so comfortable. ". This is a big win for us! It is between size 10 and size 12 on her street shoe A street shoe size 11 is about the same as a jazz shoe size 11, so we ordered the same size as a street shoe size 11.

I ordered one and it is not true to size

For my kid, who wears size 13-15, I will give him a 5 She may not be able to wear it for a month since it is so small. There is a lot of quality in this shirt, but maybe order two sizes larger.

No breaking in is required. These are perfect. You can wear them right away. They have a shank that is too high, so they don't feel as though they have any discomfort. We would buy this item.
