Street shoes are available in a size 9 for my daughter. Based on other reviews, the 9 seemed too small to me, so I ordered the 10. Numbers 5 and 10 indicate two different categories. There are nine of them. The size 5 was just big enough lengthwise, but too narrow in width. Having the 10 in her wardrobe makes her more comfortable, and her body can grow with it. Whether it's her shoes or a pair of pants, my daughter likes them and is particular about them. She is taking tap for the first time this year. The returns/exchanges on Amazon are fantastic, so when I first bought these, I bought them a half size larger than my daughter's "street shoes. " Her clothes were just right - they fit her perfectly It means they won't until a couple months from now. I just switched to a 12 and they are now in a 12 instead. In regards to the X, they aren't too wide, if this means extra wide. Her feet are a normal width, and she found them to be the right size. Upon trying them out, I found them to be quite comfortable and well constructed- As much as I like doing business locally, as much as I appreciate receiving discounts, I was pleased to find these shoes at this price. These are the required shoes for her tap class, and are available at our local dance store for just $47 (including the school discount).

I love this pair of shoes! Rather than using patent leather, you can get real leather for a reasonable price. lasted the whole year and would have lasted longer if they had not grown out of them.

We purchase it for every kind of dance shoe we need. The feat they have does not grow old with them and last them a full year of tap or whatever. As they grow, they will eventually fit barefoot just around recital time (when they are in tights anyway), so I would buy them so they fit with thick socks until their feet get a little bigger since they can be pricey. Cost-effective, but the quality of the shoes is such that they will last a long time.
