Questions & Answers

Do you think it will last long?

In the first few weeks, the tip fell off most (about 1/2" to 1"), but the rest is still intact. This was a present my son received for his third birthday, so it has been abused quite a bit.

Is it possible to use it as a sparring tool?

I think this would be okay for light sparring, but there is a fiberglass rod in the middle of it that would be broken if hit too

What do you think about a 9 year old using it?

There is not much difference between it and Nerf as far as safety is concerned, but the costume quality is much better. It is often played with by my great nephew, who is eight years old.

When the blade is widened (widest part), how wide is it?

Approximately 2 inches are attached to the blade

I can't use it for larping, though it is a nice sword
4/5

You should NOT buy this sword if you are looking for a larp weapon. I tested it on myself to see if it would be larp-safe, and I got a nasty bruise. If you are just looking for a prop it's really cool!.

However, the sword is not great
4/5

Take a close look at the description instead of just looking at There is nothing I like much about this sword, except that it looks really cool and it is perfect for cosplay/noncontact For the same price, you can't go wrong with this great looking sword for costumes. If you want a great sword to play with, you are better off with Nerf or Heroes Edge. We bought several swords, and this is the one that looks the best, but is not suitable for even light contact. There is a chance that either the kid(adult) will be injured, or the sword may be as well. Limiting expectations would be easier with a clearer description and warnings from the manufacturer. This sword is a BS sword if it's reviewed by a pro LARPing site! Definitely would recommend this brand for affordable cosplay. We won't be buying more of this brand for contact, but we would buy more if they had a more flexible sizing chart. I wish you the best of.

I love this sword! I adore the look of this sword! The style is similar to Sting's! I love that it's so lightweight, yet so I think this is one of the better LARP swords I've ever The dueling that I do with my son makes use of this a lot
5/5

We sometimes use Needle or the Nerf Marauder sword, or many of the others we have. This one is our favorite.

I am amazed! You won't be disappointed if you are a Hobbit or Lord of the Rings fan! The one above and the one from Hero's Edge were my orders
5/5

My return of Hero's Edge was because it looked cheap and wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. The Sting looks good, especially for its price point, safe for children (5+) and great for costume You'll probably have to wash the sword if you're going to use it to sword play, but silver paint can be repaired with a bottle of silver paint to make it look like new again.

I like it, but don't put too much detail in it
4/5

I have no need for this sword, but it is a good sword. It is a great sword but the edge is more ridged than I expected. My nephew and I play battle a lot. You'd better not expect it to be very padded, but if that's what you need, then it would be great.

I was surprised by how well it turned out
5/5

In other words, I understood that when I bought it, it was a costume. Toy swords are not something I enjoy, so when my daughter asked for a toy sword I told her that she could pick something nice enough for years of use, and that cheap plastic swords are not my style. We have used this thing for LARP games around the farm numerous times, both with and without kids using it, and no one has been hurt by it. The tip is worn off from battle and we have used it for battles before. There is nothing spectacular about this piece of art. A LARP weapon like this isn't very useful. However, if you keep it light and understand that it's a toy, it's perfectly fine. We've had a ton of fun with all of the foam swords we've made.

That is one awesome sword
5/5

I love watching my friend's son play D&D while we sit around and talk Since I had this sword to give, I got it for him There are no words to describe how he feels! Quality is excellent and the material is very strong. The kind of punch it delivers would be painful if you took.

Originally from the Middle-East A budget-friendly guide to the planet
5/5

Would you like to add a replica of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins' iconic sword Sting to your collection but struggle to come up with the necessary $75 or $100? Considering the price of a foam sword this is an excellent duplicate (and it will not rust) at a fraction of the cost. I had a split at the very tip, but with an Aleene's Tacky Glue on the glue and a drybrushing of silver paint, everything was fixed. The sword appears to be a confused combination of hard and delicate, so it wouldn't be the best choice for dueling or LARPing, but it would make a great collectible or something to keep next to you while you watch some movies.
